Moris
just an opinion so noone b*tch at me please. As a rank based game, I do not see it fair that a killer can easily cut the game time of a match in half with an ebony mori. I am all for the removal of keys, if that is what would entirely balance out the removal of the ebony mori. I only have a problem with the ebony. The other 2 are pretty balanced only being able to kill 1 survivor. I main killer and moris are fun af to use. But this being a rank game, I see it as unfair.

Bold of you to assume rank means anything in dbd.
Anyways I saw on a thread a while ago that Keys and Mori’s are being looked into

Tbh keys and moris are the one thing people can unanimously agree need to go.

Ranks are something to work for. And they use rank for matchmaking but half the time its a rainbow lobby lmao

I recently found a lobby that was me (rank 1) against really low rank survivors
(See above)
But in DBD, ranking up isn’t that hard on either side and along with the matchmaking that is a miracle if it does its job.
However, like mentioned in the post I said, a dev confirmed that Mori’s and Keys are being looked into around the same time as the Billy nerf reveal

I'd rather they stay, doesn't bother me either way if 3 or even 4 survivors escape with a key or if I get mori'd. I like the kill animations, I haven't seen them all yet. Harder to do with DH totem and yes when you bring a mori its should be to have a bit of fun not to shelter a fractured ego for a past bad game. But hey I guess if the community takes issue with them they'll be changed eventually. I hope they don't remove them though.

They could be cool if reworked right, but most people aren't a fan of them as they are right now.

Here's the real problem in my own opinion.
Mori's allow you to skip 1 hook phase, but also don't really get you a pip if you end the match too fast. So they're not really useful for anything if you want BP and pips.
I consider keys and the hatch to be equally bad for the game. So I'll talk about them together.
The hatch is one of the most harmful things in the game along with mori's and keys. The hatch and keys promote "bad play" (and I say that in quotations because bad play is entirely subjective). Keys and Mori's reward little effort, but the hatch makes a killers effort worthless. It's not about "deserving" a 4k or an escape, it's about the fact that the hatch rewards survivors who didn't play well as a team. And punishes killers who did play well by accomplishing their objective. Regardless of who reaches the hatch first, it's unfair to both killers and survivors.
That being said, I believe removing the hatch, keys and mori's all at the same time would promote better teamwork among survivors. Because you won't be walking around looking for the hatch with 2 people left anymore waiting for your team mate to get killed, and it will prevent "new killers" from being reliant on mori's.

mori used to not need a hook at least for ebony, now they require a hook. which if you're dealing with object swf, you have to deal witht he object first often to even see anybody else. but the mori makes those toxic kind of groups able to be dealt with at least once in a while and bypasses their annoying perks like ds and unbreakable, it's not like you could be using one every game, maybe every few if you get alot of points and ONLy use them on that already maxed killer you main... but then you can't use your points on any other characters that way and if you blow your last mori on a team it turns out you didn't need it on and the one you do comes the next match you are screwed.
making mori useless against the super sweaty and especially troll swf is only going to push some more kilelrs off of the role, at least until the next killer dlc comes around. The queue for them is currently only long because of the combination of new killer+cakes event. The current queue times could flip-turn into long survivor queues or a lot of afk/macro killers farming bp if enough people get frustrated considering how screwed the matchmaking is. not a good move to touch moris without dealing with swf if they want a fast enough survivor queue imo.
I've seen people shrug this sor tof warning off before, and just saw a game with tens of thousands of active players get shrunk down to a few thousand (many afk or playing purely toxic builds designed to frustrate the other side since they lsot reasonable expectations of winning against certain types of groups) through a chain reaction (solo side left, remaining on it were trollish or afk just farming, longer queues+trollish play and afks started driving the other side away as well for having no fun) once a chain of patches only nerfing the killer side in that game harshly and repeatedly finally did one hefty series of them too far in a single patch while buffing the other side when they were already annoying with experienced players not even always needing to be on comms together to win easily once experienced enough. That other game has since done an attempt at a 180 on it to a degree, but almost no players came back to it and it's queues have been affected laughably as a result still. And it's threads steadily reflect that from the clingy players that stillc an't seem to let go of it and move on.
That could just as easily happen to this game if they're not careful, especially if done before crossplay numbers, since it's rough on most killers already when you can play literally a few great matches and a few so-so and a couple horrible ones and already be rank 16 or 15, and then just start seeing red and purple ranked often swf trolling the hell out of ya in 1 out of 3 to 1 out 4 games... while you're only rank 15 and just play it for dailies, rift challenges or occasional bp you wind up getting faster as wglf survivor often. The mori helps with that a bit. Or at least it helps just to blow off some steam, and if it's no longer an option or has conditions you can't fulfill realistically against those toxic groups, ... people aren't gonna wanna play killer any more unless they feed off of the stress of it and are just as toxic themselves about how they play. Once players leave games these days, just like I used to say on the other game's forums... they usually don't return since there's too many other things to play these days. Over amonth later and two attempts at a partial 180 and still nobody came back to that other game, even some of the most addicted finally began leaving it for good once they accepted there just weren't enough people playing and playing in non angry/toxic ways to be worth it to them any more. That can happen to any game, especially after a long history of one side feeling shafted at points and ignored, once one patch pushes things too far for them. I've seen it happen before, warned of it before it happened, seen it happen before that and know it can happen again to any other game no matter how many people are playing it.
