I was highly refraining from buying these two on PC no matter how badly I wanted them because cross-progression was announced. HOWEVER now that I've learned xbox and PS4 are exempt from it, should I just get them on PC ;-;

Why are Xbox and PS4 exempt from cross-progression? Was this somehow confirmed?
last thing I heard was they want cross Progression for all platforms but can’t confirm it at that moment because negotiations were still going on

Yeah currently Cross-progression will come in september to PC, Switch, And Stadia only.

The said they'd keep working on it but it's not planned for the launch, I'd assume because of issues with Sony and Microsoft.

There is a Post about it in the News Section, currently no cross progression for Xbox or PS currently and no guarantee it will happen in the future.
As for the original post I'm sort of in a similar predicament, I have all my purchases on PS4 and I have only the base game and spirit dlc (which I won a code for) on pc. I'm going to be finally getting an upgraded pc in the next month and should finally be able to play DBD on PC, but don't really want to have to double purchase any more content.

Well, kinda excited for Switch cross Progression! wonder how cross purchases really work though.. cosmetics/in game character purchases and DLC will all be cross?
