Is the DC penalty back?

No, and I think its fine without it. If I get a team mate that DCs. I understand that their computer crashed or something came up. I just play the round and deal with it. If I am playing as the killer. I generally play the game out and let the last 2 remaining survivors go, or sometimes just the 1. I mean it is, what it is.
What would be funny is. If the survivor DC'd from the last match.
- They get a "DUNCE" cap to wear for the next match. It won't be on that player's head until the match starts.
- They have to generate a total of 20,000 BP before the cap and penalty goes away.
- They have a reduced action speed of 20%
- The character farts at random when near the killer (lolz, please tell me people here have humor).

DC Penalty is needed for a reason. Since they removed it i get tons of DCs per day again.

Yeah, I see a DC just about every other match. I had 2 Killers DC right as the game loaded - apparently Huntress didn't want to play on Hawkins and Legion didn't want to play on Lery's - and so many DCs on being found/hooked first.
There's been a few DCs I've shrugged and thought "don't blame you" because they were getting hard tunneled right off hook. I've even done it. But for the most part, the DCs have been for dumb reasons.

I'm so happy the ban is gone tbh. Never have to play on Haddonfield again~(until the ban is back)

I'm happy that the DC penalty has been removed. all the DCs I've had before were due to a game error and I had to wait half an hour. Also, they lower your rank by dc.

I had no idea it was removed until I got on a couple days ago, used a mori because I have a surplus and got two immediate DC's. I really want them back.

Cheating is getting worse in the game. Penalties shouldnt be back until the devs do something about it

No. Until they fix hitboxes and hit registration they should remain OFF.
Enough of killer sided hits, enough of getting hit after a couple of steps after vaulting. Enough of VPN killers getting priority in hits.
And enough of Huntress hitboxes. So over it.

Imagine a DC penalty in a non-competitive game.
IMAGINE a DC penalty in a game that is actually broken on so many levels.
How about making the game fun across the board to play, so people don't feel the need to DC? Just a thought. Or even more, how about fixing the bugs that FORCE people to DC, or cause crashes, BEFORE A DC PENALTY IS IMPLEMENTED?

I mean, if I am being completely honest.......
I was asking because I really hate playing against the doctor. Normally I suffer through it and try my best for the team, but today I was already having a bad day and I really just hated being spam shocked and I DC'd intentionally for the first time since installing this game.
I really hate playing against him, and today I just couldn't do it anymore, so I DC'd and got off the game.

You see, people like you are a perfect reason the DC penalty exists. There's plenty of legitimate reasons to DC. "I don't like this killer" isn't one of them.

Not being in the mood to play against broken mechanics every game is a valid enough reason in my book. You think I want to spend 10-15 minutes being shocked, chased, shocked, chased, shocked, hit, hooked, unhooked, shocked, shocked, hit, hooked, unhooked, shock, shock, killed?
I don't care for it and I don't care if you think it's valid or not.

The Doctor is far from broken. Your inability to loop him and dodge his shocks are broken.

He can shock you through things and he really only has to look at gens and shock in that direction to then figure out where 1-2 survivors are. Or he can do like that radius thing where he doesn't even have to be looking at you. Like idk what to tell you, it's not fun to play against and if you're looping him, he need only keep shocking you, and that's it. He doesn't even have to be particularly close, and then to top it off, every doctor you play against ends up tunneling you so you get chased right off the hook and immediately hooked again. I'm not here for it. Call me bad or whatever, but I think his skillset sucks and I'll take a penalty if it means I don't have to play against him.

Idk why this site keeps deleting my posts, but what I'm tryna say is,
He has a crummy skillset to play against, I don't like playing against him, and I don't care to sit around and get hyper focused by a killer who has far too much range, you can't even really hide from in some cases, and I will take a penalty over having to sit around and endure playing against him.
Idc if I can become a God Player that can Learn to Loop every Doc and I'm Just Bad, like I'm not playing this game to sweat and suffer.
Also, like I said, this is the first time I decided not to suffer through a game against him, so screw me I guess for hating a killer.

Why? People deranking intentionally, because lower rank can benefit you with easier games vs less experienced opponents, while the benefit of high rank is what?
But this Thread shows why we need the dc-penalty.
Map i dont like -> DC
Killer i dont like -> DC
getting outplayed -> DC
Something doesnt work well, but this time to my disadvantage -> DC
I am still for the Karma-Matchmaking, where you get flagged for dcing, and only matched with other dc-happy players. That way, they can ruin the game for each other.

The DC icon you see in the hud simply replaced the sacrificed icon for when the insta suicided on hook...

thats often claimed, but in my experience not true at all. i kept stats for over 200 games, and only 10% had dcs or hook suicides. Now, its more like 50%.

Hackers/Cheaters are ultra rare + you can NEVER completely get rid of them.

I'm getting so annoyed that everyone including killers are disconnecting so frequently on PS4. I had 3 matches in a row where the killer DC'd. Afterwards, when I played killer, the first survivor I downed DC'd. It's a plague of DC right now.

And that right there is a perfect example of why we need them. I'm tired of selfish players ruining the fun for others. Whether it's a Killer who doesn't like the map their on or a survivor who DCs on their first down screwing over the other survivors.

I doubt they will be back. survivors went "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" and bhvr went "Please buy cosmetics!" and now the dc ban is gone.
I guess killers need to start abusing it to make survivors complain and bring it back?

People caught doing that can get banned for one thing. Another thing is that you don't earn as much BP in lower ranks compared to higher ranks. People that do that suck at the game. It isn't hard to take out new Level 20 players. They leave trails everywhere, backfire gens, will hide in closets when killer is standing in front of them.
I believe in the Bungie system. DC 2 or more times in a time limit, you get banned for a few hours. Continued DC will be for a few days. DC by accident is very rare. Most do it cause they hate the map or they rage quit. I've had 2 people DC at once and I earned so few BP as a result that it was a waste of my time

i've been noticing DCs a lot too but i think it's mainly down to bad internet connection, since there's no sound that indicates they DCed willingly, though i did have one guy rip out his ethernet cable cause i got him at a maze tile on Family Residence (4000 hour tourney player BTW)

I know how it feels, but if someone facecamps you, just wait it out so they can rush gens. If everyone would do that there would be much less campers.

I wait it out if there actually doing gens but most of the time my teammates just suicide trying to save me.
I wouldnt dc if its just a random bubba facecamping me but its usually people who specifically target me for some reason

Obviously im more upset when a teamamte dcs but that doesn't mean dcing as killer is justified.
It wastes my offering and my time when a killer dcs, atleast when a teammate dcs i can still farm for some extra bloodpoints

I'm happy to say despite the dc ban not on, I have seen probably as many since as I saw when the ban was on, which I take to mean that those who were weak and whiny had left, leaving those who actually played the game.
Just because someone doesn't like a killer or a map, it doesn't give them the right to ruin the game for those who do want to play it. I'll be happy when the ban returns, and any crybabies who were taking advantage of it crawl back into their cots.

They could simply add a bot to replace the disconnected player (I think they would do something like this for DbD mobile)

Or just....sit in lobby as a survivor to get into another match within 30 seconds because there's a ######### ton of survivors? I only hurt myself when I DC from an OBVIOUSLY ######### designed map.

Its a pretty fun idea. Make sure the player is aware what queue there in and see how it feels when someone other then themselves dc and is forced to pick up the slack or face more future games playing with these kind of people. It'd be a real sobering moment.
