I Miss Old Hex: Ruin

I loved old Ruin because it made skill checks actually take skill. Doings gens is so ridiculously mundane, and as a long time player, I wish there were more opportunities for skill expression as Survivor.

I fully understand why Ruin needed to be changed. Ultimately it was a good decision for the sake of balance. But nowadays I find myself missing that tiny red skill check when I'm casually popping gens with my mouse in one hand and my phone in the other.

Please devs, break up the monotony of skill checks. Add new mechanics so veteran players like myself have a way to actually express our earned skill, because any monkey can do gens as well as me despite me having thousands of hours logged. Or at the very least, buff Killer perks that affect skill checks so that they are more appealing and get used more than 1% of the time.

    If you are bored, go run the killer and leave the gens to the noobs. Gens are mundane and that is true. Adding false difficulty to an already mundane task just makes me want to completely avoid the objective and spend my time memeing and sandbagging team mates. Be careful what you wish for!

    Adding more skill expression and mechanics to gens would make them less mundane. I'm sick of the same old skill check system, that's the whole point of my post.

    "Leave the gens to the noobs" - then no gens get done because teammates are unreliable.

    Also idk how you find sandbagging people to be fun. Pretty rude of you.

    That's why skill check madness doc exists, but everyone keeps yelling to nerf him. Who needs regression perks when the survivors regress the gens for you.
