Slight Doctor change.
So as we all know, Doc is pretty good on each maps, even on maps with 2 floors, I say we change that. Doc souldn't be able to shock survivor downstairs of The Game map when he is above, that's something that shouldn't be done. Remove the ability to Static Blast upstair when he's downstair and etc, would balance him out quite well and won't be as broken as he is now. Just my random thought on a change for him!

i generally feel like the killers TR shouldnt go through the floors.
thats stupid and just leads to confusion on my end as to where the killer actually is, aswell as the docs ability to blast over both floors.
4 -
I mean, it's kinda normal TR is across all floor and I'm fine with that, I still don't know why he can blast across all floor and it' s a thing, I mean, c'mon
0 -
Well, that is a nerf, so I must kindly disagree.
3 -
Why not nerf him a little bit? You prefer to have his busted ass static blast across a floor when it shouldn't be like that, ok Doc main 🤣
0 -
his static blast goes through his TR.
if he has a TR on both floors, he hits both floors.
as long as we have one, we most likely will also have the other.
0 -
Ehh fair guess they could remove Doc TR across both floor

This comment shows your bias heavily.
Doc isn't busted. Just sounds like you want to nerf him just because.
3 -
No, doc doesn't need a base kit change (except maybe his chase music). Being able to shock people through the floor/ceiling in The Game is honestly fine, that map has so many brokenly strong pallets that you should always be safe when he makes you scream (at least until the pallets are gone)
1 -
It's not a thing that should exists, why would he be able to blast upstairs when he's under me? Doesn't make 1 sense, that's something I'd like gone cause it's annoying, idc that madness doesn't decrease passively anymore, why blast through floor?
0 -
His static blast goes through walls, the floor/ceiling is just another wall.
Also, why do so many people think Doctor is OP? I've yet to go against any doctor build that felt unfair...except In mobile. His snap out of it skillchecks on mobile fly a mile a minute and are just simply broke.
0 -
Doc is not OP and needs no nerfs. However, if we do weaken his blast in this way, then the reverse is also true, and no killer's TR will go through floors. You will simply have to listen for their breathing and footsteps to know if they are standing directly above you reading their attack. This goes for Huntress' lullaby too.

Not everyone runs Calm Spirit nor anything, impossible skill checks Doc is pretty broken but it depends how advance you are, I don't see it much.
2 -
Who said anything about calm spirit? If he blasts your position either run away or hide in a new one..
And even impossible skill checks build is fine. I was referring to dbd mobile where his skill checks are impossible without any add-ons.
0 -
But you also said you haven't run any Doc with good build except mobile, implying you didn't go against decent Doc on anything else
0 -
I said I haven't encountered a doctor build that felt unfair, and I havent.

The only nerf that Doc requires is his Discipline addons. They're busted as hell. Everything else is fine.
0 -
I did, couple of times on switch, rare but happened, especially since switch has poor gameplay (frame drops against or playing has Spirit/Oni, some maps causes frame drops)
0 -
What does it do again? Haven't played Doc since I p1'd him
0 -
If you're on a different floor, he cant get to you anyways so who cares?

What is this thread even?
Terror radius is a sphere, not a circle. It should absolutely have an effect in ALL directions, even vertical.
Eh, I'd only agree with that to an extent. The yellow and green ones are probably fine and outplayable. It's the purple one that is a real issue.
1 -
It reduces the timing of shocks allowing to you to spam it at a loop. It takes away the skill of timing your shocks properly.
You're slowed down when you shock so discipline let's you close in on a survivor even faster. If you pair purple/green discipline with high stimulus electrode (range addon), you're basically telling the survivors not to have any fun. It becomes a predrop pallet and hold W simulator.

Another suggestion I would have is to make them conditional, so they don't stack.
0 -
Doctor is in a perfect state, leave him be.
His Static blast is countered by lockers and calm spirit and this could create issues where he cannot use his static blast on staircases
1 -
Doc doesn't need any chances, he's fine. Hell even his add ons are all useful in some aspect, which is WAY more than most other killers. Leave him be, a good killer of any kind is going to make you feel powerless sometimes, that's their nature.
2 -
Because he doesn't need a nerf n tell me more how I main a killer I rarely play 🥺
1 -
Just because you don't like playing against something doesn't mean it needs a nerf.
Let alone one that would make doctor vastly worse on most maps with even slightly elevated areas such as both asylum maps, thompson house, HADDONDFIELD , sanctum of wrath, hawkens, Both red forest maps, Dead dawg saloon, ALL 5 BADHAM MAPS , coal tower, Both swamps(the maps are both U shaped pits making anything elevation based worthless) and The Game.
Mind you that is all maps with an elevated generator let alone hills that would spawn.
So it would massively nerf him on EVERY SINGLE MAP REALM and also gut his ability to detect people in the basement or detect people from the basement.

Resident Doctor Main here,
Bruh, YES. I totally agree with this idea. The main thing though is that on The Game, you can't easily look straight up to see where a Survivor is. Just my opinion though. Sincerely,
Resident Doctor Main

Not everyone runs calm spirit know-it-all.

I mean, it is one of Jake's Teachables. Just rank him up a bit, since he IS one of the free survivors.

Now is the place to start :).

So you want to make it where you can't hear his TR when you are on a floor above or below him?? That's not very smart!! The doc is the funnest killer to go against as a survivor BECAUSE of that shock therapy and static blast that hits you outta nowhere! Don't be a sore loser just enjoy the game!!

The Game can be a safe pallet haven or be full of dead zones and unsafe pallets. it's a really situational map
0 -
I have actually never seen it full of either deadzones or unsafe pallets. In fact, I don't think it has any unsafe pallets, the shortest loops are just large enough (and have enough visibility) that you cannot trick a good survivor into being animation locked. The most unsafe pallets I can think of are the exit gate pallets, but they are only unsafe because of their environment, not the loop itself.
And I cannot stress how few Game trials I have played with actual, map-spawned deadzones. Every time I get stuck in a deadzone in that map, I see broken pallets, not no pallets, although it is easy to miss pallets based on the lack of LoS. That's not to say the map itself is unbalanced, it's just that it's unfair for both sides.
1 -
The game is honestly nutty with doctor and his best map. I mained docter when he got his changes and even without discipline addons, most of the pallets that were considered safe become unsafe.
You can just walk up to the survivor and force them to drop the pallet. Then you run back to the middle of the loop and shock at the pallet and it becomes a free hit. In the case of other killers, you're forced to break the pallet or the survivor could just vault back and forth.

And that's your choice. If you choose to ignore a counter that exists, that's on you. You have nobody to blame but yourself at that point.
