About swf
I see a lot of people on this forum often complain about swf but no one actually talks about what they would do to change it. Personally, as someone who plays soloQ survivor and killer I don't think anything needs to be done to limit people playing with their friends. Not trying to start a war here, just want to see some peoples thoughts on why swf is disliked among the killer side and what they would do to change it.

In my opinion they should nerf SWF in some way, not delete it. The SWF is pretty strong if they play decently.

There are three "player groups" as of right now. Solo and possibly casual 2 man swf, 3-4 man sweaty swf, and killer.
As devs continue to balance the game mostly with sweaty swf in mind, killers and solo survivors will forever be given a raw deal unless that's changed. Nerfing all survivors just hurts solo survivors and buffing all survivors to make solo a better experience just hurts killers.
My idea is and has always been to limit the amount of perks each swf member has, depending on how many are in the group.

You can't stop people from playing with their friends necessarily.
But people MUST realize that the gap between solo and full swf is huge, especially if they throw on Object or something. You're toast as killer if the map is big.

That the survivors' auras cannot be seen on the hook and in the dying state. Only when there is a group of 3 or 4 SWF survivors.

There aren't any easy solutions, but the main issue is Discord and the developers' mindset. At the start they made this game that was supposed to be unpredictable with strangers who aren't communicate with each other; Discord screws this up. Rather than maybe make changes to accommodate the survivors' desire to communicate and plan while throwing a bone at the solo survivors, they choose to do nothing. Hell, I can't even think of a way to bring the solos up to SWF level without ######### the killer who relies on information the most. Killers repeated this over and over only to be met by the same responses "git gud!", "you need to apply pressure" or my favorite, "if you remove swf, you get no players!" nevermind the fact that outside communication is out of the killer's control. It's like playing basket ball with people who has telepathic powers, it adds an unfun disadvantage all the while people bully((let's be real here)) killers into playing with rules that often see them having their hands behind their backs. The developers need to step in here and make some changes. I don't know if it's in game chat, making certain perks basekit, or what.
To this day, I am amazed no one has never stopped and asked themselves "Man, I have never played a game where communication ######### everything up"

i play both side most the time as survivor solo but last night i play in a swf group and it was so easy it hurt.
edit i wasn't using meta perk i still got out in all matches i played.

I don’t think anything needs to be done. You have killers who choose to play super sweaty. The natural balance to that is a coordinated swf.
also, not every swf play like Seal trained gamers. Most are just casuals having fun. Devs have already said they would never remove/limit what perks someone wants to use.

You don't need to play like a coordinated military effort to still in casual chat give away info that alert, bond, empathy, and kindred all give....for free.

well solo queue is just as bad as a killer going up against swf. Its actually worse. As a solo queue I can count with my fingers how often I win as opposed to playing killer. And by winning as killer I mean 4K. I actually 4K too frequently. More than what seems fair. It’s not hard. People don’t have good headset or they have poor map knowledge Or both. That’s all there is to it.

survivors are way underpowered in solo.
swf matches killer. That’s about it. Killers def have the upper hand. Communication is what levels the playing field.

Both sides play "sweaty" there's no issue with playing with the best of your ability.
Whether or not every SWF is a navy seal team is irrelevant, this is my problem, it's what I covered in my earlier post. People not even bothering to actually look at issues on the other side under a nuanced lens. Discord grants a SWF an unfair advantage regardless of how well they play. That information is vital. It's crucial. I have played SWF before, I started off as mostly survivor. I know how devastating having that information could be. If you have the ability to give off valuable information and you are a competent team then you're friggin lethal.

I could understand that playing solo could be frustrating, but if I'm being real SWF ######### with solos too. You're always the scapegoat when the team doesn't do well, they leave you to die while saving their buddies, and they farm you. I play solo mostly and has seen these in action. As for SWF matching killer no one has provided any insight as of why or how. I see this claim thrown around a lot.

Killers only average 1.7 kills.
This is without any data on SWF. The game heavily favors survivors at the moment. I play both sides. Survivor is way easier right now.
