Good perks for solo play

More often than not I find myself having to play solo when it comes to survivor. I have access to a great deal of perks, but I struggle to find a good build for solo play. What would you recommend? I like to play stealthily.

Using Kindred and Aftercare together is actually really nice in solo play. You get a lot of info on other survivors, and they get info on you.

Spine Chill so you know when the killer is coming. Good stealth perk.

Borrowed Time. Even though it's more of a SWF perk, if you save someone with BT that can make a huge difference in the game sometimes.

Iron Will so you can hide better when injured.

Bond is a less effective alternative to Aftercare. Empathy is a less effective alternative to Bond.

    DS never hurts.

Solo only player here! Spine Chill, Iron Will, Kindred, and Dead Hard or Sprint Burst is my standard build.

You like to play stealthily? Here's what I'd suggest.

    Kindred-

Kindred is the best solo perk, without a doubt. It gives you information when someone else is hooked, and gives your team information when you're on the hook. It gives you the best change of being unhooked on time and having your team be coordinated.

    Decisive Strike-

DS is here only to prevent being tunneled/farmed. In general it's impossible to prevent being farmed but DS gives you the best possible chance of escaping that situation.

    Fixated-

Fixated is a godly perk that's incredibly underrated, especially when combined with the final perk. The 20% increased walking speed should never be overlooked and seeing scratch marks is pretty neat too.

    Sprint Burst-

Sprint Burst, when combined with Fixated, is amazing. It's the best exhaustion perk imo, and also helps you escape the situations where you're being tunneled/farmed (especially when combined with DS).

My go to for solo play is iron will, bt, dead hard, and adrenaline.

for point prioritization, we’re gonna live forever, deliverance, DS, prove thyself

For solo 1 of the aura reading perks (Bond, Empathy, Kindred, After Care) I recommend Bond or Kindred.

if you want to be fully stealthy (Spine Chill, Iron Will, Urban Evasion, Sprint Burst / or Self Care)

Not bad. Thank you. I hate running decisive strike, thought I admit it's a nice thing to have when you get tunneled!

    Personally I'd use it.

You don't have to force a locker stun, damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. It's just there as a safety net and you can actually use it as an anti-tunnel perk.

Plus, it helps; hitting DS is some great practice for hitting great checks/overcharge checks.

I actually like empathy. It’s long range let’s me watch another survivor after they’re hit. You can tell by movements if they are still being chased. Lots of good info off it for a lot of different situations

I suck so I use no mither, soul guard, tenacity and dead hard to get better in soloq. It’s rough, but fun when it starts working when I get slugged.

DS and BT. They’re almost mandatory.

I took them off today and so far fingers crossed the games have been ok. I’m sure there will be a bad run tomorrow though that makes me out them back on.

Anyway I’ve been trying out a few builds tonight and it turns out I love a Bond and Alert combo. You get so much information. With Bond you can find teammates to heal you, teammates who need healing, see which gens are being worked on, know if someone is being chased towards you or if you’re being chased and running towards other survivors on a generator. Alert lets you know where the killer is, which areas are gonna be deadzones, and which direction the killer is heading after kicking something. I’ve been pairing it with Inner Strength for self-sufficient healing and to get the totem count down and Repressed alliance? The one that blocks off gens to delay Pop.

If you want to go stealth try Alert, Iron will, spine chill and then maybe something like Urban evasion, fixated, or that perk of Jeffs I forgot the name but it blocks aura reading.

If you want the entity to decide your role in a survivor game, try ace in the hole and plunderer’s instinct. See what items pop out and role with it.

I usually put spine chill and lightweight with it.

Detective's Hunch can be very helpful in a solo queue as it can be tough tracking totems without it.
