'Killer Lock' will be exploited by hackers
There is one hack program that is still being abused to this day.
It's a program for survivors that allows them to see the killer's profile and current character choice.
With this information, hack exploiters arranges their perks and items for better counter.
(For example, Getting rid of self care for Plague games, Flashlights for Wraith games, Indoor map offerings for Huntress games and so on)
This hack was spreading rapidly, so Killers who are aware of this changed the character pick right before the match started.
The new Killer Lock system will prevent this, leading to more unfair games for innocent killers.
Since the program does not change data in the game at all, chances are very low that Devs will point out and punish hackers.

You don't even need a program for this. If you have a list of IDs, you can literally open up a text file and see all this info in just a few seconds.

They should prevent survivors from switching characters and loadouts once in a lobby. It wouldn't solve the problem of survivors knowing what killer they'll be going up against before the game starts. But it stops them from fully capitalizing on it.

Na, every single survivor are fair and nice people just wanting to have fun in a game. They will never or have never done that. Killers on the other hand, now they tunnel and Mori.

Killer lock? Does that mean I cannot look for a match while I'm spending my bloodpoints on a killer I do not want to play?

Far as I know, you can do it for the killer you have already selected. But you can't change to another killer and spend points on them while looking for a match, no.

I don't want to bring two-sided fight into this topic. Hack exploiters exist. Both survivors and killers.

I've heard reports the issue is fixed in the PTB.

Only people posting on this forum have said so, the Devs haven't said one word about it as far as I'm aware.
