Konamis licence with BHVR has them by the balls so I heavily doubt they can do anything major to any of their stuff such as the map.
However, if i could get it deleted I 100% would.

Yeah, I kind of feel bad for killers when I run OoO and we randomly get Midwich.

It’s currently the only scary map in the game. I actually get chills when I see some of the killers heading towards me down the hallway.

Midwich is the map variant of a literal Rubik's Cube and it's just beautiful...
...until you get an Object user.

I’m not sure if we’ll get any more Silent Hill content but the rough draft of the upcoming graphic changes make the current maps all look a lot scarier and more atmospheric so I’m definitely stoked for that.

Since this map released it feels like my team mates just go full potato half the time instead of trying. I love the map, and I think there’s a lot to work with on it. Perhaps the totems are a bit too hard to find, and OoO is a problem — but OoO seems to have needed addressing for a while.
I win more as killer on it, and sometimes people just DC all together. Hopefully as people get to play it more this lessens, but it wasn’t well received.

I mean it's one of the maps to get used to, remember when the game got released.

Pallets are only useful in a chase. Midwich is better for hiding than running. If you're never seen, pallets aren't really necessary. I think the main reason many people don't like this map is because, although stealth was meant as a main mechanic in this game, the Meta has become "run around like an idiot and distract the killer while the others do gens." Doing that in Midwich gets you killed.

God I hated the Game when it first came out. Finding the path to a hook on either side made me pull my hair out with how often I hit a dead end following the aura of a hook.

It may not be a great map, I don't mind it, its different, I don't think its great but hey its different. One more way to get back upstairs other than the steps and rubble ramp would be good, a second rubble ramp on the other side perhaps. Given that running around a big square from corner to corner wastes time even when not in chase, the most valuable resource a killer has.
Perhaps we should just delete all maps, have 1 generic map tile. Its all white except for the checkered floor and there is one rock in the middle that everyone just loops around during chase. no pallets or windows, no grass or trees for blendettes so killers happy, a single un-mindgame-able loop for survivors to show off their leet skills and waste killer time so they happy.

Now I know my way around it, I fully appreciate it. Whilst it's not my favourite map, it adds a new style and once you know the layout there are so many more plays and options available from both sides.
Also, it's a unique and probably the only one I see as true to the survival horror genre.
Basically, I wouldn't want it gone. It's a great map for those who put the time into actually exploring it and being creative. It's also diversity in the map types. However, I'd also like maps of other areas. Can fully understand if that's not the case though.
