BHVR why isnt this in the game yet?
Yesterday I played a game with Pig and needed to guard a guy so that I can still get the 2k. I waited a bit because I was scared that they might have d strike and hooked them when I thought that the timer would've run out.
Now in the endgame chat, I was called a N*zi, a daughter of a b*tch and a tunneler and camper. The players revealed that they were an SWF Group and that they were all Twitch streamers. And they said that I would get 700 reports.
At first, I laughed because it's just another toxic survivor, but after thinking a bit it kinda hurt to be called those names.
I would like to see a word blocker in dbd to prevent constant bullying from survivors. I have no idea how this isn't in the game yet...

Why not better, devs delete chat from the game? This would better avoid insults.

I wouldn't like that because I always like to give newer killers I face tips or just to say ggs.

I imagine it's because those are painfully easy to skate right around. You could throw up those kind of blocks but all it takes is a space or a @ instead of an A or about a thousand other creative typing to slip right past the swear blocker.

Well, I am not Mentally stable, so even simple words can hurt me very badly. It's good for you that it doesn't affect you, but for players like me a word blocker would be a nice thing added to the game

They just need to remove the text chat. It’s unnecessary.
On another note, I’m curious if the chat is going to be visible on console when cross play is enabled.

You can also ignore the chat or don’t even show it.
even if there were direct word blockers people would find a way to type in the words they want, be it with separators or exchanging letters with numbers or something else so if you really cannot handle it and you know it, hide the chat!
Also pls use the Chat abuse report function if necessary, no additional screenshots are needed here.

are you playing different game i mean i play steam and ps4 and i never get good messages i try give good messages if i can sometime after match killer another survivor get into it i go i'm solo.
on ps4 i just flat out disable it

Around 45 or 46 minute mark of this interview Cote says they're working with 3rd party to have something put in.

They're a lot faster and stricter to block and ban people on the forums than in game.
Easier solution would be just to get rid of end game chat.

I just don't understand lol. These people see a name on a screen. They have no clue who you are, know nothing about you. The insults they dish out probably gets said to every person they lose against, so why take it so personally? Are you a n*zi? No? Then who cares lol.
Sorry if I sound like an A-hole but this is kind of silly when you think about it.

I have a Mental condition (depression) so even if some dude in a video game calls me names I get very upset. Of course I know that I should just move on but I am constantly rethinking it and get even more upset. Like I said it would just be a nice thing added in the game.

Look just ignore it youre obviously sensitive, thats not bad but these guys are pathetic trash and you shouldn't care once those exits are powered or youre gen rushed there is no trash play and no rules

I have depression as well, I'm just saying to try and make you think of it in a different light. Remember, the trash talkers literally don't know you, you're just a screen name. And some of them are probably 10 years old lol. If they insult you it just means they suck at the game. I understand you have depression, but you still have a brain and I'm sure you're smarter than to let some little kid get under your skin who you'll never even encounter in real life.

I know and I do not let others get under my skin easily, but these survivors where just awefull. I actually got scared that I'll be banned.

Well I mean the best thing I could say there about getting banned is just screencap stuff like them "threatening" you with 700 reports. And besides, I'm sure if literally hundreds of reports came through for one player at once, it would kinda easy to tell something was up.

Coming from another person with mental illness, if you're not mentally stable enough to handle a mean word you REALLY shouldn't be playing an online game

Only playing on Steam so cant talk about PS4.
but yeah, I usually get nice messages even if I was super sweaty. I can remember my achievement attempt for the 4 Moris in one game, no salt there. And even on my Killer adept attempts where I slugged for the 4K I got more nice messages than bad ones. But I have to say I don’t start the chat with „lol ez baby survs“ when I win ;)
