Your First Experience.

So I thought about something earlier today while playing DBD as survivor, and well, I remember my time as a newbie. My first few hours of the game and let me tell you. It was the most fun few hours of my life.

I remember it specifically. I was playing David and we were on the farm (back when it had the god loop) I think this was around before legion? So spirit? I can't quite remember what chapter.

Anyway. I was in the actual farm itself and I saw someone get hooked. I got frickin scared and ran away. Trapper saw my scratch marks and followed me. I can just remember those first moments of tension and being legit scared. No pallets just me running for my life. He downs me and I get hooked and then the rest gets very hazy. But that was 2 years ago.

What was your first experience like?

I remember there was a Kate running No Mither for some reason. I kept trying to heal her lol

My first time playing killer I was overwhelmed by all the sound cues (lots of rank 20s failing their skill checks) and didn't know what scratch marks were, but still managed to 4k (because, again, bunch of rank 20s).

I was on thee Game and it was a billy. I was working on a gen and kept missing skill checks. Then id hear the heart beat and crouch walk behind some boxes. Hed come look not see me leave and wed repeat the process. This happened 2 or 3 times before he finally looked behind the boxes and chainsawed me in the face.

In my first game I played ace because he had a backstory I liked. It was against. a trapper and I kept getting off his shoulder because apparently he didnt knew how to hook. I remember I was shitting myself the whole time.

My first game was playing Trapper because he is the first killer in the menu. It went like you would expect. Horrible. And I kept stepping on my traps so many times and cursing why I can't see them.

I don't remember much about the actual matches...but I know that I blew every single skill check for at least 20 games in a row. I am not even exaggerating. My friends still make fun of me for it, over a year later.

I was invited to play when DbD was free, by a friend, and I only distinctly remember killing myself on first hook because I thought I needed to unhook myself and didn’t know I needed to struggle in second phase.

My friend gave me a lot of lip about not being a team player and always giving up so early (that Sonofab...)

my first experience was awesome, and I'm so sad that i can't clear all moments of the game in my memory and feel those emotions again.

I remember to have played the Huntress on a free weekend. Mostly succesfull.

It had made much fun, but I was still thinking if I should buy the game. I started to watch dbd episodes from a YouTuber, that has stopped playing DBD already and after some months I had bought DBD then with the Legion DLC, because that was exactly what I wanted.

First time playing survivor, Mikey on Autohaven. Second match, Mikey. Third match ######### Mikey.

Safe to say I shat myself. I still resent Michael to this day because of it, same with Azarov's as survivor because I'm scarred forever.

My first games I can remember was back when I played DBD on Switch. I was playing handheld and was trying out Huntress because I loved her look aesthetically. Granted I was HORRIBLE at chucking hatchets and playing in handheld did not help whatsoever 😂

I decided on just sticking with Wraith for a good while because I got a grasp of him real fast and was enjoying playing as him, but always wanted to play Huntress more but was kind of put off because I sucked with her.

Nowadays I play on the PS4 and put in a lot of time on Huntress and now I’d say I’m actually really good with her but can be somewhat inconsistent at times. Still trying to improve whenever I can.

I don’t really remember my beginner survivor games that well, but I know David was one of my favorites to play as.

I first played DBD shortly before Clown came to PTB during a free week because I had been watching someone else play it and it looked fun.

I picked up the Huntress and the very first Hatchet I ever threw was a direct hit on a Bill way off in the distance.

Ever since then, I've either completely destroyed the Survivors as Huntress or been completely destroyed by them, often back to back with barely any games in between.

I think my first Survivor was Claudette, but other than that, I don't remember the match. And this was before we had the three unique perks unlocked at base, so no Self-Care for me.

I don't really remember how my matches went, but I do remember the first survivor I ever used was Feng because she had Technician and I was -horrid- at skill checks. Back then I also didn't know fast vaulting revealed your position so I bet I was found a lot rip.

Overall the game gave me anxiety as a newbie Lol, I miss that feeling.
