The hook is the last place killers can gain momentum so they want that to be super safe too

Here's the thing, survivors are getting REWARDED for farming now since it has no real punishment. They just SB away or DH pass you, additionally the exhaustion reset wasn't necessary since you recover while on the hook. I think the new unhook animation was okay since it allowed a mind game but now with the other stuff, expect to see more cocky survivors. Sorry about the rant :p

No they don't get rewarded. How do you come to such a conclusion? The guy can still be downed within 10 seconds. The ONLY difference now is that the guy has a chance to act, that's it. You make it sound like it's 100% a free escape when that's just flat out not true. It's a fair chance to escape, where before there was no chance to escape.

The i-frames and exhaustion reset gives a incentive to farming and I'll ask you this, "Do you like to get farmed?" Because now there's now more survivors farming and making bad plays now since the developers added a mechanic for playing poorly. Additionally I'll add on, I think that any bad plays in general shouldn't be rewarded to begin with coff coff farming.
I think horrible players will farm other players no matter what the circumstances for the hookee is.
If there is no penalty for the unhooker, then unsafe hooks will always be done.
The hookee is not responsible for what the unhooker does, yet prior to this, they were the only ones punished with no chance of survival. Now they have a second of run time, assuming the killer adapted to these changes.

That's the point, the unhooker doesn't get punished enough. I could farm every survivor because there's nothing stopping me (Not saying that I do farm btw, just making a example), benevolence points? Pff...

Make farming reduce all categories current BP by 25% and make WGLF only give stacks when it's a safe unhook. That will be enough for the unhooker to think twice before attempting to make a poor play.

I prefer to just give the unhooker the Exposed status, if they're hook farming. Killers will, hopefully, deal with it themselves.

Preferably the punishment is not so severe that people don't attempt at all lol.
But yeah, the WGLF stack is the most important here IMO.

This can work as well because I just don't see why killers are getting punished for the survivor's mistake. However how would this work tho? Would you get a invisible exposed status effect that you couldn't see when you successfully unhook a survivor and the killer is within X meters away from the hook?

If @Orion's idea was implemented then I would be 100% okay with the i-frames since now the unhooker is getting punished for the poor play - not the killer!

There have been times where I have unhooked other Survivors when the coast was clear only for them to run towards the Killer and get downed again.  I also run We’ll Make It so they knew I could heal them in time when I try to heal them right after the unhook.

Should I be penalized further for my teammates being absolute jackasses?  It completely obliterates my Benevolence already when I am not at fault.

I don't really have a problem with this change. I'm usually too busy murdering someone on the other side of the map to care.

  • Freddy is supposed to be a character that gets stronger as the game progresses so, why is it at the end you become a weenie and have almost no chance of killing someone when they get unhooked within about 50m of the exit gate....
