Mains vs. Elitists
There is a stark difference between people who main a side, and people who think that their side should always be superior.
For example, a large majority of players in this community are elitists, who want nothing but easy wins.
Survivor elitists will complain about something on the forums and review bomb the game because they didnt get their way.
Survivor mains will try to adapt their playstyle and adapt as a player, and become better overall.
The same thing applies to killers.

I play everyone but if I had to choose a main, it would probably be Billy. He has mobility to find another survivor, an insta-down to apply immediate pressure if good and he's a balanced killer who can be looped to death if played stupidly but I completely agree. I've seen it from a few streamers who don't care how you play. If they lose, they blame it on someone.

The healthiest thing a person can do is just ignore someone as soon as they use "survivor main" or "killer main" like it's a slur.

The difference isn't as large as you may want to believe. If someone mainly plays 1 of the 2 sides, their opinions and experience are going to be viewed from a lens tainted by the aforementioned side. There's nothing wrong with playing said side, but that doesn't mean they have a good understanding of what their opponent/s is/are having to deal with. For instance, the legions of killers that go out of their way to camp and tunnel, or the legions of DS/UB users. Some are arrogant and just don't care, others genuinely have no idea what they are doing and believe that what they are doing is fair.
