As a survivor, I HATE DS and Adrenaline
I dont hate these perks because i see them as "toxic" or "OP" or anything. its just that i think they are really boring.
Also whenever i have DS i just never get tunneled and never get to use it, so i take it off, and guess what happens. I get hyper tunneled to death the very next game XD. Thats why i dont use DS. Its a cursed perk for me.
Adrenaline is very powerful yes, but its not very fun from a gameplay perspective. In most cases, all i get is a single use sprint burst. Oh boy... how much fun im having...
I cant use adrenaline in solo queue bc im boosted AF and just die before the last gen is popped, and i cant use it in SWF bc i need room for my meme perks.

I've never related to a post as much as this one lmao.
But big same about DS. I was so excited when I first got it, but I couldn't tell you the last time I ran it. It sits unused if I put it on.
As for Adrenaline, I don't totally hate it, but I've also started switching it out for other perks because I, too, am boosted and always die. 😂 Once again, unused perk slot.
For both, there are definitely more synergistic perk builds to use that don't need either perk.

I never use Adrenaline as solo, I can't stand the perk.
I Love DS though. It's a gg regardless if the killer is good. I'm dead no matter what.

This topic led me to a unicorn. You sir or madam, are a mystic subject of legend. Kudos to you.

Deliverance is my cursed perk. I put that on and BOOM, found first.

I never run DS out of self-imposed moral obligation
But I've always liked Adrenaline, really comes in handy a lot more often than you would think. Running the killer and it seems like you're about to go down, all of a sudden a burst of energy as you gain a health state and become S P E E D.
Best thing is when the killer hits you, you get the speed burst from getting hit, last gen goes off and you get a second speed burst right after the first one finishes and you're healed. Pretty rare if you're a solo who isn't coordinating with anyone like me, but it's happened to me maybe once or twice.
Also a really nice perk to have if you're being camped and the exit gates are open, it's basically a guaranteed save better than Borrowed Time, (but only in the endgame obviously).

Decisive Strike as of now is something I avoid using on principle. I don't even own DS or any of Laurie's perks, but I guarantee you if I ever had the nerve to run it, I would never get to use it. Some minor tweaks to make it less abusable would be alright, enough to even make me try it out, but right now? No.

Every time I take off DS, I get insta-tunneled. I unfortunately actually get a lot of use out of DS that it is a must-have for me. The sucky part is that The Killer will hard tunnel on your second hook. I have bad luck with Unbreakable, take it off and slugged but put it on and insta-grabbed lol I've had some great moments with UB, Tenacity and Soul Guard but that is 75% of your perks allocated to a very specific scenario. Never been an Adrenaline person, nice perk but not my cup of tea.

First time I took off DS, I had a Hag put me in basement and instantly 3 hooks to death.

DS is fine. It’s your only defence against tunneling, especially solo where you can’t rely on people to have BT.
Adrenaline needs to go along with NOED. Its more of a swf perk. They rush gens injured knowing that everyone is getting an instaheal at endgame.

DS is a weird flex, sometimes you feel punished for not using it, low key revealing how powerful it is, when you're not using it, it praises you to not being caught at all to avoid tunneling scenarios.

I agree with you about ds but not adrenaline.
The only time ds is of use is if the gates are open or the killer is low skill and doesn't know or care to counter ds and also the survivor is low skill and can't get to a pallet or safe area when downed. Bad survivors don't plan for the killer to tunnel them instead they complain, cry foul, and abuse ds, all of which makes them make terrible plays in the heat of these moments.
Adrenaline on the other hand gives a health state, distance, and relieves tremendous pressure if the survivor was in chase. Hard countered by noed but that's why I never run it without detectives hunch. Add on the moments where killer closes hatch while you are slugged iron will and spine chill and your build is iron man tough.

Solo player, DS is a must have for me. I can play without it, but like others have mentioned, I'll get tunneled straight out of the game once a killer finds out I don't have it. If there's no obsession in the match and the killer isn't running an obsession perk, the exact scenario I described happens 90% of the time. I don't blame the killer, it's the smart thing to do. That's why I run it. I'd rather have the killer worry about it than be forced to watch everyone get tunneled to death if no one has DS in the lobby.
As for adrenaline, it's ok, but I never use it. I'd rather remain injured that way NOED doesn't scare me. Most of the time as a solo, 5 gens aren't even completed making adrenaline useless.

Imagine equipping a perk and hoping NOT to use it.........
Oh, wait. That's me and DS.
