Can we please get a ping limit to the servers or some sort of region lock?
I am so sick of getting some killer from china(or from any asian region), it's really unfun because of their high ping and how killer hits work.
Every game I have played this morning has somehow been with a asian killer, why am I getting paired with them when I live in the US? I would gladly wait longer to get a US killer. Idk how out of the thousands of players that play this game, I'm somehow getting stuck people from asia(even the same killer multiple times).

There is a region lock but they circumvent that by using a VPN for the region they wish to play in.
They are working on the servers so that those doing this won't gain an advantage anymore and if anything be disadvantaged.

And putting everyone else also at an disadvantage in the process.

They will actually be fixing it for everyone else with decent pings rather than give and advantage to any side.
If the hit happens right now it should be the same. The only difference is that a survivor should be closer to the killer on their screen so that the hit looks legit.

They should add some kind of ping limiter. For example, if you have 150+ ping you can't queue up. This should fix the problem with vpn-ers.
Although, i dont know if something like this is possible since i never seen anything like a ping limiter

The reason VPNs work is because the user connects to a remove VPN which then connects to the server. The server only measures the ping to the remote VPN, not the user, so this wouldn't change anything. At best, the devs might be able to blacklist known VPN services so nobody can connect to the servers if they're using a VPN, although that has some other implications.

Oh cool, thanks for the clarification

The VPN exploit needs to be fixed like yesterday. It causes so much lag in games and works to the killers advantage. Every time you get near the killer, your screen freezes up and you can't do much except lose. It needs correction ASAP.

As long as you yourself can toggle that option, that'd be fine with me.
I prefer to not be forced into longer waiting times because of others versing high ping.

Bhvr should be blocking VPN connections from known VPN subnets. Streaming services do this. Getting hit from 6ft away sucks.

Love the double standards in this forum. Lagswitching killers = bad; lagswitching survivor = no problem.
Just today I got 3 seperate survivors that pulled the plug on their Internet in key moments to get an advantage. Its bad enough that they can become litterally unhookable with lagswitching (killer gets locked in animation), but I also learned that they can deny a lockergrab by cutting their Internet for a moment as well. Don't get me started on flaghlight saves, which are also clientside for thr survivor (meaning they can lagswitch it).

150+ ping and you cannot queue? Have you never played in Xbox? We'd never get lobbies

Im not playing games on consoles so i dont know. But playing killer with more than 150 ping is awful for survivors, you will get hits that arent supposed to hit.

I was going to make a new post, but found this one instead. and I'm heavily in favour of having a ping limit added to the game. These screenshots are just from the last 5 games today. Let along the other games + other days. Realistically anything above 80 isn't ideal, but when you start getting over 90/100 it's just stupid. People lag out of getting hit, rubber band all over the place, clip through walls/pillars.
A VPN checker should be added to the EAC system, blacklisting known VPNs to help prevent this also.
The whole situation is in no way enjoyable
