NOW SAY THAT GEN SPEED IS OK
I was watching a streamer playing dbd. It ended well, with a 4k but... 4 gens were done in 2 minutes and 21 seconds. Yes, 2 minutes and 21 seconds. Decisive lasts 1 minute and they had 3 or 4 of it, then add chase time, hook time and all these things.
Luckily they stopped doing gens for some reason and that led to a 4k, but imagine if they didn't.
Please consider a ds nerf or secondary objectives for survivors.

Once again there are many many games that show gen speeds not being fine that DON'T end in a 4k. Find a game that actually illustrates your point.

Jeebus. A new one of these posts every day. Gen speeds are fine. Apply pressure, play a different killer, or get good.
The statistics you cite are not common. BHVR has the real statistics and I guarantee you there are plenty of 4K, 3K, 2K, and 1K games out there. Besides BHVR has said the game is balanced around 2K, so accept it and move on already.
I'm so sick and tired of the constant killer main whining here and on Reddit. You know who you don't see whining? Good killers. Stop it before BHVR actually listens to this nonsense and ruins the game for good. It takes 4 times as many players to play survivor as it does killer. Keep whining and BHVR will enact something stupid and those players will vanish. Then your queue will be longer than it is now.
If it's not working for you, switch killers or just stop already.

Dude please never talk about streamers. They're there to make content not to hyper focus. Play the game and actually experience it. They still got a 4k probably cause they increased pressure. Gens are fine just get better or play a really good killer for newbies that applies a lot of pressure like The Legion.

I saw the game, not you. They did 4 gens then started going around, probably to farm chase points. But something went wrong.

Play on Ormond with Clown or Freddy. Freddy downs the survivor on the south right corner and hooks him and with BBQ, sees on the north left corner in the killer shack is someone working on a gen. Impossible to go there with clown in time and use your pop on the gen, with freddy you just teleport and save the gen.
And that thing applies to 80% of killers, that can not save such a gen in time. You are forced to do the 3-gen-strat in every game if you want to have a chance.

It's not your gameplay nor your own experience really, using someone else's seems out of place to me.

It's somewhat a point to foolish people that the streamer experience, by people literally paid to play the game (casually or tryharding sometimes). while trying to entertain their audience, is the experience every player have.
Oh and also because they have a numerous amount of hours, but still more than one streamer can barely explain how certain niche perks works.
And even some take on survivor gameplay for their mistakes. and the other way around too.

I hate mother's dwelling more than Ormond now. 2 platform gens, largest map in the game, imbalanced loops and windows etc. It can be literally impossible to stop a gen from being finished when you spawn in, because of how big it is. I only used the corners gens as an example. Having 2 platform gens so far apart is extremely op.

Issue being that the build is ######### on Pyramid head, you never want to break pallets let alone use brutal, and Tru3 wasn't exactly playing well that game, but I will have to give it to you. There's a video showing gen speeds being an actual issue.

the issue is not gen speeds stop bitching about it, your calling for this change to gen speeds but be honest how often are you really being gen rushed, if its that often your making mistakes the only issue that i think affects gen times is hiding survs and map sizes and design.
ds does need a nerf yes but if it is as a big a problem as you say it is. then stop tunneling people down.

So why was the Clown chasing someone in a corner? How long were they chasing them for? Why didn’t they rotate sooner? What add ons were they running? What perks? Why doesn’t the average killer understand that the goal is to PRESSURE GENS, not down survivors.
The unfortunate thing is most killers believe “downing survivor = pressuring gens” and that’s all they understand sadly

I play a pretty good killer (for most, about 4 I’d like to get better with). It is infuriating reading dumb posts (you’re not dumb, but the post is). For all the killers that want to complain about dead hard, DS, adrenaline, a medkit, a toolbox, etc - ENOUGH. STOP IT. If you don’t know how to play, ASK. It’s not going to hurt your fragile egos to do so. It’s ok if you don’t know something. It’s ok if you botch a chase. But stop complaining, it’s unproductive. Try to approach it from a healthier standpoint, and learn something.
and by the way, I bet I could find at least 5 things in this stream you watched that they did wrong. Not that they need to be perfect, but people need to take ownership of their mistakes rather than externalizing blame. For example, I once watched a streamer with about 3k viewers complain about being “gen rushed” - what really happened - he chose to chase an injured survivor that was looping through an area where 2 gens were being worked on. They chose to overcommit to their chase...eventually downing them, but losing 3 gens. Had they taken the hit and pallet they got, and rotated...they would have only lost 1 gen and would have pressure on 3 survivors. BUT SURE, if you want to call lack of knowledge of when to rotate gen rushing, go ahead. But you do yourself a huge disservice and will never improve at the game.

As Pyramid head? No you shouldn't actually, except God pallets. The more animations they get stuck in the better and you can actually outplay shack pallet with his ability.

This isnt a good argument for gen speeds. The streamer literally got a 4K. I could just easily reframe this match to make it look like killers are OP.

1) using a “pay me and I’ll do any build you want” setup
2) takes 53 seconds before his first hit
3) goes back to an area to chase Dwight at a gen that has only a couple of seconds of work on it
4) downs Dwight, and boom, 3 gens done around 1 min 20 something seconds or so
what did he do wrong? Aside from Not using ruin or corrupt. (1) uses ability instead of getting a pallet, possibly a cheeky m1 (costs him another 4 seconds) (2) commits to Dwight - needed to immediately rotate (3) gets an m1 on Dwight moving in the direction of another gen (fine, still wasted time) at 53 seconds, but commits to Dwight again (4) takes another 30 seconds or so to down and hook Dwight.
but he knew what he did. He was expecting 3 gens to go, and they did. The correct play, especially in a build without corrupt or ruin (that build is awful for PH by the way) was to rotate after the free pallet. Welcome to advanced killer 201. Not even at the 3 or 4 series level of school yet

Thank you for saying so clearly what I was gonna type out. More players need this mentality. In every 'Gen Speed Is Broken' post I always comment talking about what the person playing killer should be doing, what mistakes they made, why the gen speed is not the issue and it's the player etc and I always get the idiots who reply saying "that's not an argument" or some other stupid bs reply like that.
@Unfun_Tunnel These type of gen speed issue posts are really getting stale. The killer player cannot just commit to people and expect that a good/quick chase will be all they need to do to win. Have to consider the person being chased, where they are, what they can do there compared to other survivors, what other survivors are doing elsewhere etc etc etc. Stop complaining about gen speed when the killer player does nothing of consequence with their pressure to stop the survivors doing their objectives. I'm gonna ask this, was the streamer using PGTW, by any chance?

Something has to be said about this eternal topic.
Just because a game ends with a 4k doesn't mean gen speed is fine. If the killer gets the 4k but 3 gens were done in minute and a half, something is wrong with the gen speed.

Also, im guessing the first hooked survivor and the first two completed gens happened around the same time. The third gen happened shortly after that, maybe before the second injured survivor.
By the time the second survivor was hooked, half of the fourth gen was done.
It's at this point in the game, that the survivors are way less spread out, so the killer hopefully has their 3 gen picked out, and they're applying pressure around equally.

I was also thinking this is a problem within this community. Using someone else's experience as evidence to their argument. Like, what if someone else under the same circumstances and made different choices and maybe patrolled gens a little different.
There is a huge skill gap in this game.

Gen speed is okay. The real problem is the lack of gen pressure killers are able to exert at the beginning of the game.

I 4k'd on the map against a 3 man swf as clown. I used corrupt for early game gens which is the biggest problem the start game collapse will fix that. That's why corrupt is good it gives you time to get downs before the first gen is done.

You used a single match. I 4K'd on Haddonfield as wraith recently against a suspected 4 man swf of Neas with toolboxes. I use corrupt, but still that map is huge and against a good team, you can't really win because of how large it is. Gen speeds aren't the problem, map sizes are.
