It's going to be a bit more than that, maybe a saltmine.
At least the complaints about billy are valid, this change has made him incredibly unfun to play and you always feel like you're on a limit, which is why people liked old billy. No limit. Which with a power like his doesn't need one.

The anger is justified when BHVR went well beyond what they needed to change about Hillbilly. I still struggle to believe that they actually changed his add-ons to change things that isn't even related to his power. Literally useless add-ons.

As long as Legion's Max Base Speed isn't tampered with. That's all I ask. But then again, Clown has the same 4.6m/s as Legion. But feels slightly sluggish still even after Clown's rework. But that's just me. Huntress is lanky but at 4.4m/s speed max should be as fast as Legion where Legion is short stature. But Freddy is short stature and m/s is 4.6, even though he's claimed as Average Height. AND feels faster than Legion. Where as LF is also 4.6 and sluggish. 🤷♂️

And that was exactly the problem with old billy, no limit, and with an on-demand instadown and 230% speed he sure as hell does need a limit on it

Wait, somebody who has no limit on his power is fun to play as when you stomp 90% of your games with instadowns? Color me surprised.

I'm so tired of how few killers are viable anymore...survivor games are against the same few killers already, gutting another one of the ones you could run into (and honestly Billy players were already sporadic enough it was a surprise hearing the chainsaw) just makes the game more stale as both sides.

No, not because you apparently "stomp" all lobbies (which you don't). You have no limit, you almost feel "free" if that makes sense, making it fun.
Other killers with limitless abilities are fun, wraith is fun, but not strong. Doctor is pretty good, slinger only has the reload cooldown, demo has very little CD etc.
Of course this is usually the communities stance on fun killers and it's very subjective, but you understand what i'm getting at.

I've always thought it was far more fun to use my power as a killer whenever I wanted than to stomp games. Games are best when they're close, stomps on either side are boring. But it's also boring picking character X because I think their idea sounds cool, but I wind up spending half the match waiting to use what makes them unique. That's not fun, that's being forced to use killer X like any other killer in the game.
...isn't this why Trapper traps stopped being permanently sabo-able, and then later not sabo-able at all? Because depriving him of his power was awful?

Wraiths ability doesnt give him 230% speed nor can it instadown. Also the huge bing bong and slow down is a downside.
Doctor has a cooldown on his 360 blast, and his other shock attack is non-lethal
Demo has a cooldown on a teleport
Theres a huge difference between those and an ability which can both instadown and cross the map in seconds. He would never be made like that today without a limit on his ability.

I wasn't talking about the strength of the power, nor what it does. I was talking about how free it is to use.
Point I was getting at is that even if lets say his ability was nerfed into the ground, he would still likely be fun if he didn't have a cooldown.
Look at wraith: Weak ability, free to use whenever. Fun killer. Same with Billy, except his ability is much stronger. Some people think he's fine with no cooldown, some don't. I personally think he doesn't need one due to his ability being very reliant on survivors mistakes.
They've basically turned him into a much, much weaker nurse. Still kinda good, but unfun as hell.

Guess I'll be using my "oN-dEmAnD iNsTa-DoWn" in the most boring and lame way possible from now on. I hope people enjoy this new wave of backrev simulator because that's all Billies are gonna do anymore, because attempting anything remotely cool and interesting is now way too punishing.

They didn't even rework Clown, all they did was buff ONE thing and called it a day.
