The 1 million BP cap needs to be removed
Title, there's no reason for it to be in the first place with the amount of characters/perks as of right now, we should be able to stash further BP as it has no effect whatsoever in any other part of the game other than personal progress.

It’s to limit the amount hackers can get I believe, and also we have the Rift and Daily objective to hold points for you.

It was needed years ago against hackers, not really needed now. Would be nice but I doubt it will be removed, BHVR rarely does this kind of QoL changes.

It still does feel rather pointless to have such a cap, doesn't it? Then again, this does not affect anybody but you, there's no economy revolving around bloodpoints, they're not used for anything other than leveling characters and the current cap limits a lvl 1 character to around 35-ish, which makes the effort to stash it rather dull.

Bloodpoints are server side now. Hackers can be immediately banned. So why does it matter?
Legit though, the cap needs to go, or be raised. It's just a cheap way to manufacture "replay value" by keeping the grind as ridiculous as possible.

My guess is they don't want people instantly getting P3 and all perks right when a character releases.
I'd rather they raise the 32k cap per game instead.

I've seen couple content creators show videos of hackers playing the game and they don't appear to have any issue with just "having" all of the best perks which I doubt they just grinded. Also, if bp's are server sided what blocks them from just giving themselved 1 mln bps over and over to level up .

And those hackers tend to get banned fairly quickly.
Hell, just a couple weeks ago, I was watching Hexy, and saw a hacker in his lobby get banned before the game ended - and he hadn't even reported them.

Then limiting influx of bps per hour on a single account would do that.
On that point: It might have been a dev watching the stream and banning him. I've seen Tru3 upload few vids lately that had hackers in them and they didn't get banned straight away.

2 million should be the cap enough to get a character from 1 - 50 seems reasonable and then you can grind and go from 50- 1 50

The point is, bloodpoint data is server side. You CAN hack bloodpoints, but that's probably the easiest way to get banned being that they can see when you do it.
The issue is, you can hack over 1 mil bloodpoints anyway. The cap means NOTHING to hackers. So why do legit players need a cap?

What does a bloodpoint cap have anything to do with balance?

It's balanced as in its not like u can go from lvl 1 to P3 50 u have to do in stages

They don't want you fully unlocking new stuff as soon as it comes out. TBH all they need to do is make it so if you start a game with < 1 million and that game puts you over the cap, that it allows you to get those BP over the cap. So for example if you are at 999,999 and you get 30,001 bloopoints in a game, it should put you at 1,030,000 bloodpoints and then warn you if you go into queue that you won't get bloodpoints.

You would go through the same hassle of stashing the points anyway, with this cap or a raised one, difference being that the current one won't allow progress way too early and you're stuck with the 1 M points for who knows how long.

My change isn't about stashing points, its just about how it sucks when you are trying to get to the cap to be like "well, i'm at 950,000, do i think they are going to use a BPS?"

Why does that matter? It still takes the same amount of time to earn the bloodpoints. Your logic makes no sense.

We have over 80 perks per role in the game, over 20 characters per side. The grind is way too much. Especially during events where everyone is playing BP offerings, it’s easy to have 950,000 BP and then earn 80,000 BP in a match and have 30,000 to completely to waste because of an arbitrary cap. I think it’s time the BP cap is removed or raised to 2+ million

Pretty sure cheaters will just unlock all perks and cosmetics without adding 300million BP and going through the bloodweb manually.
BP cap is to limit normal players that dont cheat
