How do you play against a Pyramid head?
Genuine question, I'm really in need of some tips about playing against Pyramid Head. I always seem to find my whole team being wiped by him with such ease. Like I don't understand how to loop him or anything, and usually just feels like I'm wasting my time when I go against him. Not to mention he seems to be one of the only killers I go against at the moment. So could people leave some tips on how to play against it and help me git gud against him please.

You don’t. You have to just hope he misses his ranged attack to make distance or pallet stun him to make distance because if you make it to a window he’ll hit you with his ranged attack, fake it? Instant cancel into a hit. It’s sad, similar to deathslinger as to where they use their power only to cancel it out to zone you and get a free hit.

1. Play as pyramid head first. It will make you understand what the killer can do in that situation and understand his limits.
2. His POTD is not hitscan. So even if you are within the maximum range of his attack there is a considerable delay between him attacking and the attack reaching its maximum range. If you can judge it properly you can vault a window and move left or right. A good PH will predict left or right so it's a 50-50 at that point.
3. Double back and drop pallets on his head. Or drop pallets early if he thinks you are going for one more loop. Remember that your goal is to waste time and not loop him all the time.
4. His zoning ability is way overrated. It's just survivors treating him as any other killer to let him be in a situation that makes his ability shine. He's a different killer so play him differently.
Edit: Oh..and also. Hold W. Biggest weakness

Pre aura nerf: Spine Chill, Alert, Kindred, Urban Evasion, Blendette + /Full_immersion.Exe = Profit
Post aura nerf: probably just DC. lol

You should play as him until you start to face the sweaty red and purple rank players and see how easily they avoid it. There's even some green rank players who manage to figure it out.
It's mostly about timing. You assume at every pallet, vault or when he's on the other side of an obstacle between you and him that he's going to use it as soon as you drop a pallet or vault. Pretty simple.

You should play deathslinger against the higher rank survivors. Even green ranks make his power seem pathetic from time to time.

Break LOS, haul ass to the next tile. Not that different from nurse really

Don't fall for the mind games, predict when hes gonna use his ranged and move out of the way.

Having played quite a bit of Pyramid head I'll ultimately agree that he's pretty much just mind games and guessing. After having played him for a good week straight I'll say you pretty much have to bait him into using his skillshot and missing in order to win a chase against him. Trail of torment is quite useless honestly and survivors who are afraid of this are generally the easiest to deal with because PH zones them out too quickly. Going to tell you last thing I care about is getting survivors tormented and in fact most of my snowball games I don't even bother with this.
If I'm in range and a survivor goes for a pallet or window I have a pretty high chance of hitting them. With windows you have to fake them properly or make me believe you're going to fake them. With pallets it's pretty much baiting me into using my power and stunning me or running past the pallet but in that case I can just pretend I'm going to use my power and continue chase.
The biggest issues I have as a PH is the following
Map Pressure - Yes I'm suggesting you mindlessly power through gens
Line of sight - As Dead_By_Gadfly said, break line of sight and haul ass to the next tile. This is generally what will cost me chases.
The longer you stay at a tile the higher chance I have of downing you as Pyramid Head. Not even by trail of torment but I've just gotten so used to using his skillshot that I can land it pretty consistently. I'm less likely to use trail of torment because it's useless yet for some reason it makes survivors afraid of the tile and they run out of distance of the skillshot. Not using trail of torment for some reason makes survivors more comfortable staying close which is something you don't want against PH.
tl;dr - He's pretty much a guessing game and hard to predict similar to Spirit. The only difference is he has no map pressure because no mobility. He needs to snowball with downs to win. Break line of sight and evade him constantly and you can prevent that.

There's no mind game if you get mindgamed with ph i'm sorry to say but you need get good. It's a lose/lose situation. The real answer is you gen rush him.
Nobody gain bp. Match end fast but it seems thats how BHVR like to balance things.

I meant mind games as in canceling his ability and where hes aiming his wave. You can mind game that.

You can't at least not against someone that is skilled at ph. I played alot of ph to learn his counter. It basically all come down to ph playing bad or gen rushing.

Don't. Step. Torment Trail.
I got unhooked and step his trails by panic, unhooker block me, and get instant mini moried
P.S. also predict his shockwave attack and hope for miss.
The more they miss = Wasting more time for him + More gen time for your teammate

You should honestly sit back because I have 3000 hours into the game and deathslinger takes no skill. You can just Aim Down Sights within a split second to make the survivor juke and lose distance AKA zoning.

If you have 3k hours in the game then he shouldn't be a problem for you.

I disagree..there's plenty of mindgames to him.

Hope he’s bad, same with deathslinger

PH is a bit OP right now. right up there with Spirit and Freddy. People just don't want to admit it.
