When people DC all other players should split the DCers BP

On top of the DC bonus. This should be +post game bonus. 🌈

So if the DCer had made 16,000 up to that point, the rest of the players get 4,000.

Killers and Survivour share the points equally.

They just need to put the penalty back in. Solo Q is terrible right now due to the rampant disconnects.

And as a killer I don't really want to use any good add-ons or offerings because if I down someone too fast they just DC. Or if it's SWF, you load in, they see you playing a killer they don't like, and it's a triple or quad DC in the first 30 seconds of the game (and then you depip).

this would reward swf who dc on purpose.

I don't know what the amount should be, but everyuone knows 600 BP for "Abandoned" when someone DC is slap in the face.

You can do a single totem and get almost double that LOL

    4 man swf.

P1- Ok Jim is new and terrible at the game so P2 and P3 and myself will all go get chased and do gens. Jim you go hide in a corner.

P1- Alright everyone we have all maxed our points lets all DC and boost Jims BPs.

Jim who made about 100 BPs for almost being in the killers TR now walks away with 40k BP.

Sadly giving anything like this will be exploited by SWF groups (not everyone) and will simply lead to a "justification" for mass DCs.

I'm always for reducing the grind but there are people out there that will abuse such rewards if it can benefit their friends.

People DC to spite the killer so the killer should get ALL the bp from the person who dc'ed, in order to dissuade them!

but this in turn gives the killer bp, a win, and the dcers have to face a ban and lose all their bp?

this could really only be exploited like, once per day because of the dc penalty

Sounds good until you realize it gives the DCer more incentive to DC to help their friends. Which is already a problem with people DCing to open the hatch.

Your idea is slightly different than I instantly pictured when I read the thread title. Here's what I imagined:

The DCer has a deficit of 20,000 BP baseline.

If they made 20,000 or more, it's distributed to the team, and that's the end of it. They contributed a lot even if they quit.

But if they made less than 20,000, everyone else still splits the 20k, but whatever the difference is comes straight out of the DCer's personal bloodpoint pool, up to and including running them into the negative.

So if you accidentally DC every once in a while, it's not a huge deal. If you frequently quit the first time you get hit with an M1, you're gonna feel the burn.

Maybe even give everyone a freebie that resets after X amount of time, with a warning that they'll face the penalty if it happens again, and to make sure their connection is stable.
