Survivors: super toxic or am I just new?
I only recently started DBD, (a few months ago when I hear the Silent Hill stuff was coming) and have been having a great time with it for the most part. I try to play a mix of Killer and Survivor so that I get a feeling for everything but I have found that people who seem to main survivors are just awful to play with. They seem to not be interested in objectives or playing the game and instead go out of their way to antagonize the Killer and their own teammates. Is there something I'm missing?
Like, I've played multiple games where two people (obviously in a VC) took flashlights and just ran actively looking to blind the killer or lead the killer directly towards a group fixing a generator.
I am new so maybe they're trying to get an achievement or doing some strat I'm unaware of to rack up blood but generally speaking they then follow it up by insulting their team for losing or making fun of the killer for being bad. I don't really get it.
As the title suggests, is this normal or am I just missing something? It makes like, 40% of my games really unfun.

Yes, survivors are super toxic. Survivors with .TTV in their names especially because they are trying to put on a show. They go out of their way to try to get the killers attention. Most magically DC when they get caught. When queing up solo if I see a twitch streamer in the party I usually leave before the match starts. Most killers see a streamer and assume they are toxic so they bring a Mori.

Completely normal, we welcome you to DBD! I hope you get along with us, we're just a little toxic..

This is completely normal. Finding a match without at least 1 survivor playing like this is next to impossible.

This is why I play in a swf. For all the bad swf does to the game it prevents crap like this from happening.

It’s how this game is it’s not just survivor but it definitely is the majority at this point sadly

I mainly said survivor because I've only had, like, two bad occasions with killers. The one that sticks out is when someone told me after the game that I deserve to have my dog put down in my fourth ever round as survivor. (I don't have a dog) It was so over the top that I honestly found it funny but I just assumed the person was mad at losing.

Nah trust me I ain’t trying to defend survivors at all I most play killer and I’m shocked if I get a match that doesn’t have atleast one person in my dms after

Is there a good solution to any of this? Like, something I should be trying to do to discourage or avoid the toxicity or will I just have to get a hazmat suit?
