Weekly patches.
Why dont the devs do weekly patches where they just better the health of their game. it would be sooo easy to just change a perk or 2 to alter the meta draaaastically and make the game more fun for everyone. It is so easy tho. :(

Fixing code takes a lot of time and everytime you touch it, even to fix bugs, you risk implementing more bugs, so its better to prepare a huge batch of fixes and test the build for some time before releasing it.
That being said, I wish they made an entire chapter or two only of bug fixes, balancing and optimizing.

I think the biggest issue with development speed is that they need certification for pretty much every platform other than Steam and they can't just update the Steam version alone since it will cause problems with crossplay.

taking an entire chapter off is not a good idea at all, there are a lot of players coming back to play the game every 3 months for an hour or so just cuz of a new killer. I think the Mid-Chapter patches are the perfect time to fix stuff like that.
