Killer lobby Broken
WTH happened with the killer lobby? when i found a lobby i cannot anymore switch killer, so i have to requeue again and search another lobby switching the killer there... omg devs how this is possible?

It's intentional, it's for the new MMR system coming up. Not a bug.

why is it intentional?? survs can switch, killers not? i think this is a totally bullshit, hope they "fix" this, it is really uncomfortable

They won't "fix" it since it is intentional. They are going to give you a MMR specific for each killer and when searching for a lobby this mmr will be used for the matchmaking.
Switching after matchmaking from you never used Wraith to your several hundred hour spirit would be abusable.
So better start living with it or switch the game. Killer only main here btw.

Survivors can probably still switch despite the MMR-lock because mechanically they are all the same.

the upcomming MMR system is going to replace ranks for matchmaking purposes.
it also allows you to get an individual killer ranking, which is something most people wanted and which greatly helps with learning new characters.
so in order to deny players the ability to queue up with a killer they are bad with to get bad survivors, just to then switch to their strongest killer and stomp them like its nothing over and over again, they removed the general ability to switch your killer in the lobby.
the only thing they should imo "fix" would be to do the same with survivors and their items.

I think survivor side gets only one MMR overall. And that is good because like said they are skins but with differing unlocked perk collections.
I just mentioned in another thread that the devs could simply remove character depending unlocks on survivor side if they make the MMR character independent but that would reduce grind and so playtime and could hurt their profits, so don't expect it ever.

it's not true this MMR stuffs, bc with Clown i met ppl with about 3k hours and with Spirit-Piramyd 200-800 hours that are the most i use, so i think this isn't true, idk what there is behind but i still think that this is a bullshit, i played with Nurse and i met some 800-1k hours premade and is the killer that i use less since her brutally nerf, with Clown some good looper with 3k, with GhostFace and i met people with 4k, premade as well, and then Spirit and Piry with people that only run forward or at the board of the map... idk what are you meaning with "fix mmr system" but this is a broken & uncomfortable stuff, i think there will be never a mmr fix 'till maybe they can make a mmr system with ppl with the same hours versus each other "5k vs 5k people" or "the summed hours of each person's premade"

Similar to what Mister xD said, if Killers can't switch then Survivors shouldn't be able to last second equip a key. They keep saying they're working on balance issues yet keep releasing changes like this and it's truly baffling.

And having rank 1 killers using an untouched nurse to stomp rank 20s because low mmr is fairer how?

I think once you are in lobby, EVERYONE should be locked. Get your ######### together before you queue up.

Not when you have multiple loadouts or perk options? Presets? Items equipped? Or last second swap from a bright meg to a p3 claudette w a key?

The killer can't see anything except your base character and the item you're holding. Killers and survivors both can switch items in the lobby. The only really valid thing you mentioned is Claudette since she's a notorious camouflage master, but that's about it.

Yeah this potential problem is a general worry and they have to address by somehow up the overall killer MMR according to playtime or devotion level to accommodate or something.
