My build is I’m All Ears, Pop Goes The Weasel, Brutal Strength, and BBQ n Chili.

To speak to the other perks listed above, Ghostface is not a set up killer (-Corrupt), Hex perks are unreliable (-Ruin), and Bamboozle should be used for killers that windows are actually a weakness for like chainsaw boys or Huntress.

Despite my feelings on these perks they are not bad, but that’s my reasoning for skipping past them.

Let me recommend the Jaee YouTuber. He’s a very talented Ghostface main and utilizes a variety of perk builds. Highly recommended.

Yes, because he can get the first hit very easily. I recommend running nurses with it, so you can do a hit and run playstyle.

It’s hardly bad, but I don’t consider it his strongest. It’s good for a few extra seconds of slowdown. The math for healing is sixteen seconds (plus twenty percent from mangled). If self caring, its doubled. So if three point two seconds is worth it to the killer, go for it.

The extra blood from hemorrhage is also useful for tracking.

There's so many good builds to try, I wish you could save builds and swap em

Sloppy, Nurses, Thrilling, and i tend to use pop goes. Don't stalk unless they are in the open and dont see you. Do more hit and run tactics. Use his power recovery addons.

I like to use Nurses, Discordance, Thana and Dead Man's Switch.

Nurses and Thana since they can 'try' to heal but with it taking a little too long, I'll be saying Hi pretty soon. Discordance, for sneaky sneaks. And Dead Man's Switch so I can see if a survivor who WAS on a Gen, suddenly leaves it and figure out the route they're coming from, and surpise them. Downside to Dead Man's is I need to hook the Obsession, but it usually works well when 2 survivors decide to try save.

Make your Choice is very good on him, believe me or not. I know GF already has an insta-down, but survivors with Make your choice on are constantly panicking, because they don't know where you are and will usually hide and do nothing. And if you find them, well, you get an insta down - very fun

When you mention Thana and nurses calling it got me thinking what if Freddy had the build of thana, nurses calling, sloppy butcher, with the swinging chains add on

AFAIK slow downs stack with each other when using Add-Ons and Perks so it should work. But expect some serious salt for it!

I like Corrupt to reduce the need to patrol at the start of the game.

I like Tremors to find Survivors on gens and get the jump on them while someone else is hooked, furthering my map pressure.

I like Shadowborn because the increased field of view technically means I can stalk from more angles.

I like Brutal Strength because it just feels nice.

I don't bother stalking, I find that it wastes too much time, I seem to thrive without it. I like M1 night shroud spamming which basically just gives survivors constant problems. Key to GF for me is chewed pen and the yellow NS recovery add on.

    Nurses calling is mandatory

    Discordance helps locate threatened gens

    Thrilling Trem helps protect gens

Hex retribution gives you a free aura attack whilst using NS

    He's good fun :)

Play with your food, corrupt, ruin, thrill of the hunt. Add fast crouch walking add ons and you get gen pulls for days

Thrilling Tremors, Pop, Overcharge, and Play with your food.

I mainly use his ability to find where other players are i.e the reveal. I stalk when it's given, don't be too greedy and you'll be rewarded plenty.

I run corrupt intervention sloppy nurses calling and brutal the reason i like brutal over enduring is that exposed survivors drop every pallet they see

    BBQ, Whisper, Discordance, PWYF

This build combined with an expose/grab heavy style of play is insanely strong.

I'm a cheapo who runs Ghostface with no addons to save BP, which means no power recovery for hit & run. STBFL helps a lot with cutting normal chases much shorter and punishing people who try to take protection hits or try to unhook in his face. Ideally, you want to spend as few tokens as possible so Expose the obsession if he's healthy and you can get the down, 99% him for later, or ignore him. If he's injured, use your best judgment.

    Pop is pretty self-explanatory.

    BBQ is equally self-explanatory.

Whispers for a couple reasons. Easy to find the first person to hopefully stalk into an instant down before they realize it's Ghostface, and to help cut his patrols a lot. Low mobility makes every little bit of time you can save checking areas very valuable.

My tips for for Ghostface is learn how to waste as little time as possible. His biggest weakness is loops, as he has nothing to help with that beyond fundamentals and mindgaming, especially if power's not ready. If a survivor's going into a strong area and you're not already on top of them, it's likely wise to just leave them and find someone else. As with any killer that's playing to win, quickly identifying who's a strong runner and who's a weak runner will help, particularly on a weak chaser like Ghostface, and get that weak link out asap.

If you notice survivors are going for unhooks reasonably fast, pretend to leave and hide somewhere you can lean and see the hook. Strong chance you'll be able to get a hook trade by stalking the (almost certainly) healthy rescuer. If you're lucky or manage to hide somewhere particularly close, you can get the trade AND slug the previously hooked person, since Undetectable will bypass BT.

Don't be afraid to set up ambushes if you have a reasonable expectation someone's headed in your direction and you can get a sneaky angle. This is particularly helpful when you've closed the hatch on the last survivor, Whispers will tell you exactly which gate to hang out at and if they're not aware of you, you win.

Don't bother trying to grab people off gens very often unless you're certain they can't react, 9 times out of 10 you'll just give them a gentle shoulder massage while they get distance on you and identify where to run. Distance is bad.

Sprint Burst users know that distance is really bad for Ghostface, but very often, they'll just go in a straight line with no cover. If they look like they're gonna Sprint Burst, try to get into a position where you can lean to 99% them for later and go find someone else.

Edit: Forgot to mention, learn what structures have holes you can stalk through. You won't be leaning but you'll be effectively invisible. Examples are the gaps in shack and the barn on some variants of Coldwind.
