New Matchmaking System is officially worse
Playing in Red Ranks in solo queue is never fun for me, but I'm not one of those people that will lose a match on purpose to derank myself. Every match I play as a Survivor I used to be teamed up with maybe 1 person who rage quits via disconnect or suicide on first-hook, 1 person who doesn't know how BBQ and Chili works, a few people that run to the center of the map the moment the match starts and end up dying under 30 seconds, etc.
Now I get paired with people that don't know how to hide, loop, search for totems, heal, block a hit for a team mate, etc. Minimum is 1 rage quit a game so game description should be updated to a 3 v 1 asymmetric horror game. Team mates don't know how each Killer's power works (just had a match where 2 people died to The Pig's reverse bear trap because they didn't know what it did or how to take off the headset.)
On the other hand, almost all Killers I've played against ONLY tunnel and face camp. Normally you could punish the face-camping Killer by having everyone do gens and leave (keeping casualties to a minimum), now EVERYONE tries to go in for the save (90% of the time runs in front of the Killer and expects nothing to happen).
So until this is F-I-X-E-D, I'm running my "You have to do everything because your team is garbage" loadout.
-Inner Strength (because team mates won't check for HEX:Ruin at the start of the match by tapping a generator, team mates won't break totems, and team mates won't heal me)
-Babysitter (*very fitting perk name* self-explanatory)
-Spine Chill (Know when Killer is coming and promptly hide BEFORE the Killer gets to the gen *pro tip that not a lot of people understand: if the Killer can't find you, you won't die*)
-Resilience (After taking a hit and losing the Killer, use the 9% bonus on gens because I'm the only one working on the objective).

Give it a week

Not OP, but why?? It's been out for 2 weeks now and it still doesn't work. Why should I keep giving chances to the Devs?

I literally said the exact same thing in another thread about the exact same thing. People really need to learn patience.

mmr has been active but not in the matchmaking job for weeks already. unless they you are brand new you will have a value.

So far I have good experience playing Survivor...
But killer, no effect except faster matchmaking
So for me, it's doing good. And besides, it's common sense to wait a bit before judging it.
I swear to ######### God this community is full of cry baby survivors ######### who are so entitled and ungrateful.
to add to that; It's is doing pretty good job if you get 1-2 bad survivors in your team. That's how it should work, balance teams out.

Edit: never mind. I forgot I'm not welcome around these parts.
GLHF... sometimes that's all you can do.

its prob calculating everyone mmr ,but man its impossible to play today matchs are being like rank 1 and 5 with a 16 and 20 makes no sense

Stop looking at rank, which is now useless for matchmaking, and look at the trial itself. Did it feel fair?

The queue times are the real killer

In my experience the new matchmaking is way faster, at least for survivor, killer has gotten slightly worse.
Matchmaking quality though, eh, I dont know what to say. I have been getting ranked with a lot of potatoes playing both sides.

I repeat, each team should have 1-2 bad players at least. This is the definition of balanced.
OP wants to team up with god survivors all the time and play easy games.
Good job BHVR, don't heed the entitled spoiled kids please.

I'd rather have teammates that run to center and try to do those gens first than the teammates who only do the outside gens and end up putting the whole team in a 3 gen situation.

Thus far I have been paired against beginners when playing LeatherFace, and I am LeatherFace main, always have been. I play almost nothing but him, but still, I get paired against low skilled players - No disrespect to anyone.

MMR appears absolutely fine to me. The killers and survivors are the same skillset as me, matches are more challenging and yet fair, the results are balanced and whether I escape, 4k, die early or whatever I feel it's justifiably fair.
Possible reasons it may not be accurate in some cases could be due to newer players, the quality those others have been up against, those who mess about on purpose, those who are not as good as they think they are, etc.
However, my experience has been vastly positive, and as it calculates further matches should become more on the skill level.

I'm new. Seriously. Don't pair me with this guy. Seriously. I know how to heal and do gens and cleanse totems. I suck at looping because I'm new to it, I would love to try to take a hit for someone and I've tried but it only works some of the time and I'm sure I'm doing it wrong anyway. Also, I don't really know how BBQ and chili works (I keep calling it bbq and chill). Annndddd I'm sure I run to the middle of the map because I don't know all the map layouts yet
So anyway, for my closing argument, basically, please don't pair me with him. He would beat me about the head neck shoulder back and arm region just because Im new. And you don't want a dead cannonball on your hands, do you? :(

I'd have never thought that I'd say I miss the old rank-based matchmaking. Of course, you got the odd instances of rainbow ranks in a lobby, due to traffic and queue times. But overall, it reflected skill better than whatever is going on now.
I can only speak for the killer side, but playing as the same killer and stomping over and over and still I get matched with players who bought the game yesterday.
Whatever they thought this system would do, it's not working.

Nope not at all. im smashing survivors as killers. and as a rank 1 -3 getting teamed up with survs that hides in corners not doing gens not saving. etc. it's pretty redicilous. this is rank 20 - 16 survs
