How do you stop survivors from rushing generators as killer?
I'm a fairly average killer main, and recently I just keep getting rushed. What are some good ways to put pressure onto generators so that you don't get destroyed in the early and mid game?

Focuse on generators, not survivors.
Or run 4 perks that slow the gen times (like ruin, pop, discordance, thanathophobia, etc.)

DBD is a strategic game. Use certain perks and hexs. Damage Gens frequently. Dont waste too much time on one survivor whos good at dodging and running. lol Try and herd them to fix certain Gens so that way the last 2 gens on the map are in close range and all you have to do is go back and forth to them to get a good kill in and slow down gen process. Makes the match a bit more longer and not rushed.

The easiest way to build pressure is to slug. Someone will have to come pick the survivor up (unless they have unbreakable) and you can pressure another survivor in the meantime. Of course slugging only helps if you know where another survivor is as just wandering aimlessly around with a guy on the ground isn't really accomplishing you much more than if they were on a hook.

This is going to sound rough, but it is a tactic I find useful for Mikey. High speed Gen rush teams tend to show up with lots of tool kits at the campfire. As a general rule, if I see 2+ with tool kits, I immediately add Memento Mori. As others before me advised, I focus on generators. I immediately move around the map in a systematic, fast way hitting each generator until I find the survivors. I grab one and hook them. I move off, allow the rescue, drop them and MORI them early and so there is no doubt I have it.
The second that happens it becomes much easier to push survivors off generators. They jump at the slightest threat as they don't want to get hooked even ONCE. I don't generally have to Mori again, but it is the threat of it that makes them less likely to want to get hooked and far more circumspect about how they do the rescue. In short, the Mori puts the fear back into the game rather than math of how many hooks have I got left. Generators get weighed against quick death.

What Killers do you play? Each power has it's own way to apply pressure

Don’t spend too much time on one Survivor. Know which gens to protect and which gens to let go (like you’ll want to protect an area with a bunch of gens in it and leave gens that are out of your way and isolated from the rest). Run good perks and add-ons that help you either win chases quicker or slow down gens.
Or you can just DC or stop playing the game. Can’t get gen rushed if you aren’t in a match.

Corrupt Intervention (Plague's perk) also helps with this in the early game.
