Autodidact Buff
"You start the Trial with a -25 % progression penalty for Skill Checks to heal Survivors
For every successful Skill Check completed while healing a Survivor, you receive a Token for a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens.
Each Token grants you a +15 % bonus progression for a successful Skill Check while healing Survivors.
Great Skill Checks cannot be performed while using Autodidact.
Autodidact is not active when using a Med-Kit to heal.
You gain the ability to heal yourself without skill checks at 50/75/100% normal healing speed. Completing the heal consumes 3/2/1 stacks "
Many of you may not notice what I've done here with the perk. Its a small and subtle change which could actually boost the perk up very high. Its the final paragraph granting you the ability to heal yourself at the cost of consuming a token. This small change could boost the perks viability by allowing the healing survivor to heal themselves once they complete a heal. This gives the perk more use then just waiting for the 5 stacks and allows the player to use it to heal themselves as well if they can't find any survivors.

So it would insta heal you like adrenaline when the last gen is done, only you can do it anytime you have it fully charged?

Autodidact got my team of randoms killed...... I was doing the adept and thanks to skill checks not appearing and the killer being close to us, when I was about to finish healing I got the -% making the killer down my teammate and then I got down because of traps.
I approve of this slight buff but wouldn't this perk be too similar to self care but stronger?

Was just about to comment. It would render Self-Care pointless.

No its not a free insta heal its just a faster heal.

It would be a more of a different option it requiring a token and selfcare not and self care improving med kits while this one activily discourages the use of it.

3 separate scaling factors is a bit much, maybe just have it scale with 1 or 2 of them

So I am a noob when it comes to autodidact. I do like the perk but I have a question. Let's say you finally reach 5 tokens after healing teammates. Then the next time you go to heal someone and hit a skill check will you still get that sweet percentage buff towards progression or will it just revert to normal healing progression?
The answer will make or break it from my healer perk build.

It'll heal them 50% of their current bar.

Autodidact affects the progression bonus from skill checks, first skill check gives -25 then -10, 5, 20, 35, 50, once it reaches %50 bonus for every skill check hit it stays there

Many perks are limited by 2 factor: token & cooldown.
My idea is: Autodidact starts with 0 token & 120/105/90sec cooldown. Each successful great skill check gain 1 token
1 token: you complete 30% health bar if cooldown is done
2 tokens: you complete 60% health bar if cooldown is done
3 tokens: you complete 90% health bar if cooldown is done
Example: you're healing other for 4sec (25%), then the cooldown complete (with 2 tokens) makes the progressing go up to 85%
Im not sure if this is buff or nerf though.

autodidact needs a buff but i prefer 1 thing that its only if the heartbeat kicks in theres a high chance for a skill check or something similar
