Rank should play some role in the new MMR
Listen, if we keep sticking to the "10 matches" argument then I'm telling you from now this game is gonna be hell for new players for like an entire month minimum.
Many killers don't "main" one person and like to juggle across the line-up they're given, and the new player experience will just feel oppressive because of the MMR not adapting to it.
A TON of matches will be unfair because apparently "rank doesn't matter", and so far I've mained demoboy played at least 13 matches at rank 1 and I can't find a pattern whatsoever, I either get 4 yellow rank survivors or 4 red rank survivors, no in between.
How to fix this? Completely restrict red ranks from yellow / grey ranks, maybe even green ranks. Red ranks should only go against other reds, or purples at most.

I mean if the system works (not saying it does) it makes sense to ignore ranks. Especially since a lot of times many red ranks I have verses arent any better than green or yellow ranks. But one place(one of several) where I have a big problem with this system is whatever "mmr" it allocates to new players. Whatever it is, its too high. Too many times people that have never played the game is placed against players with over 1k hours in the game, and just shouldnt happen.

Probably hours played would be a better indicator. Rank correlates with hours and skills, but only loosely. Of course, a rank 20 with one perk probably hasn't played much at all and isn't skilled as well. However, someone with thousands of hours who doesn't play for a couple of rank resets could pose a problem. Using rank in that instance would skew matchmaking.
