Trapper should be alerted when people are disarming his trap.
He should be warned with a ping anytime one is touched.
I dont play Trapper but I disarm his traps every game against him. It seems too easy on my part for the notification to only happen after the trap is sprung.
What do you guys think? It takes him forever to stealth his little traps. It doesnt seem fair to spring them so easily without fear.

No.

How come? 😩

Hard disagree, If you are in a situation in which you can disarm the traps you should be able to do so without penalty. Trapper needs buffs, but this ain't it chief.

Why tho? Why should we be able to crush his power so easy?
I say YES it should ring. And the only way around it would be Small Game (or some perk) having an added benefit of silencing it.

Oh is it! Then let's bring it over here!!!

Trap placement is everything. Giving the Trapper an advantage for bad placement just doesn't work mate. A decent Trapper can hide his traps easily, so hes not crushed easily by any means. His traps are amazingly balanced, the problem is that he can't get enough out, which is why everyone suggests making his bags base kit. Why should that survivor get punished for being attentive? I say NO it shouldn't.

How about an addon that gives that effect?

Sure. That would work too.

Overall, I don't like the idea that a Survivor can prevent a killer from using their power.
They in essence have a mechanic that allows them to fight back when the game is centered around survivors only being able to run away and avoid the killer in order to escape.
Fighting back against a killer in this particular case means that a survivor can disable a killer's power making them much weaker than other killers that don't have this particular weakness.
Trapper, Ghost, Hag, and to a lesser extent Plague are all killers whose powers can be disabled or negated by survivor actions.
No matter what a survivor does, a survivor can't stop a hillbilly from using his chainsaw although they can put themselves in a position where it's unwise to use it.
I hope to see the day where survivors can't disable a killer's power without a strong compensation...

no point. he knows when you have disarmed a trap, getting notified when someone touches one isn't really going to make a difference. they dont take long to disarm, he probably wouldn't make it to you before you've disarmed it. so weather they get notified before or after really doesn't matter. trapper can see his traps, they light up red so he is going to know which ones are set and which ones are not.
also you can use the add on so the survivor gets injured when they disarm the trap just use that or use the add on so a trap automatically sets every 30 seconds, survivors dont expect it and aren't likely to go back to that trap unless they know its set. like someone else said, if the killer hasn't placed his traps well then thats on him anyway.

Wow! All the traps Ive sprung Ive never had one bite back! Is that add-on super rare? They should make it base kit but has a certain % in going off! That'd be scary yet fun at the same time. 🦄

I wouldn't be against the idea however i also think the best course of action for a buff for him is just to have an extra trap by default

he should be able hold more trap in basekit.

So trapper just has to trap the gates, and pretty much auto-win as long as he kills at least one survivor? Seems like a bad idea to me.

Just give each one a randomized, kinda-hard-but-not-super-hard skillcheck, to make disarming them more risky. Fail and ya get the CLAMPS!

it's an ultra rare add on. (bloody coil) i've seen it a few times in game. i don't really come across many trappers, so obviously don't see it heaps. it takes longer to disarm traps also. actually the Honing stone would be a good one too.

Bloody coil & Purple coil are already great combo to defend the gates (takes alot of time to disarm + injure them).

the only buff that trapper needs its start will all traps or make the traps darker thats it simple solution

As a Trapper main, ur idea is over buffed.
Start with all traps => easy 3 Gen setup. And its easy to win the game.

It would just be to distracting and probably time wasting, and you will probably come into contact with the survivors that like to mess with trapper by making them walk on their own traps lol it would probably hurt him more then anything, survivors know he gets notified when starting to unset a trap survivors will bascailly use it to lure trapper away as a distraction. I know that's what I'd be doing.

Nah. That’s too much hand holding for the killer
