New Matchmaking Makes It Hard to Find an Excuse to Continue Playing

Title. Relatively new player, made a forum account just to post this.

In the vast majority of matches, I'm now being paired with either high-ranking survivors that run circles around me (as killer), or high-ranking killers that destroy our entire team before we can get more than 1 gen done. It's just not fun to get repeatedly stomped into the ground every time I try to play, and then mocked in the post-game by people with hundreds of hours more playtime.

I've played plenty of matches, so it's not a calibration issue. Hell, I was paired with a team of all rank 5 and above players for my very first time trying Deathslinger.

So, why should I continue playing?

Man, i'm right there with you. For the first time in 3 years of playing dbd, i'm struggling to find the nergy to play it. I mainly only play Killer now but even then I vs potato teams and dominate with no effore then get cussed out because I didn't farm with them. Thing is, vs these players, I actually am very chill and am lazy in my chases, but it just doesn't matter. I am struggling to keep playing dbd due to this new system

Even as a veteran, it's hard to want to play at the moment.

I either get boring easy matches or constant disconnecting survivors. I've had maybe one or two challenging matches since the new matchmaking system came in, and you know why they were challenging? Because they were on bigger maps and I was playing low-mobility killers. Nothing to do with survivor skill, just the gens being too spread out to be everywhere at once.

I can only hope it gets better, because if not, I'll stick to customs with my friends if I play at all. At least we'd all have a laugh running meme builds and stuff.
