Bad Bait threads are a big forum's problem, and that's why something need to be done about them.

Why are bait threads read more and considered more than threads that actually have a considerable amount of work on, have space for a really long discussion, and propose ideas to make the game better, instead of being just a big complain without proposing new ideas?

Don't get me wrong, some ideas are even right: 2 completely opposite different visions of the game, the Scott June's one and the truetalent's one agree that DS and unbreakable combo completely break the game and allow survivors to do really aggressive plays they shouldn't be able to do, and that's why I see the whole community agrees on these.

But people waste so much time on them, game changing threads that should have a light don't, and then the Devs tell us we're just able to complain, and they are right

No one sees polls, they have so little votes in terms of how many people are active in the forums.

And I admit that I created posts such those a bit in the past, but at least explained well the problems with big arguments, which is sufficient in my opinion.

EDIT: Modified the title so it's clear it isn't a bait itself

I'm actually exposing why this is a problem, not the fact that the thread is has an attracting title, but that it drains the community attention to something useless, that makes people angry and that's it. The more I see short threads implicitly troll the more the problem grows

Here we go, I modified the title so nobody can say it's not clear what I'm gonna discuss

I mean there a lot of the same threads discussing about the exact same topic, can't those streamers stans discuss about idk who opinion and who cares about him opinion in the same thread? What is this constant need to open up a new one just to expose his?

But probably rant one are the worst.

If you've been here a while you'll notice bait posters eventually get banned, I really don't wanna call out names but they ARE doing something about it.

Otherwise there isn't much that can be done, this is overexaggerated if you ask me and it's not like a bait thread will cause that big of a deal, people will easily notice it and move on.

This thread I didn't want to expose any, neither I want to do it to bait, but if the idea comes from them massively it is right to cite them. For example, I made a big thread about the winning condition of the game today, which is kinda a blast to truetalent, but I didn't cite him just to take attention because it wasn't necessary. I'd say that citing your streamer is legal, you can do it, but just to confutate the idea not rant on the person.

Edit: Not including who you are replying to just because he/she is a big streamer is not taking responsabilities for what you say just for fear

The best us forum posters can do is to simply not respond to threads we feel is bait.

It's sorta hard to do anything about it unless it's blatantly obvious trolling, especially since it's not too uncommon to see people declare posts bait for simply disagreeing with them 🙃
