What kind of power would a pirate based killer have?
I've always liked the idea of a killer with a Pirate theme to it, with name possibilities being "The Buccaneer", "The Captain", "The Plunderer", and etc.
But what can kind of abilities do you think a killer like this would have?

Bandolier with like six 1 shot pistols. And an eye patch that when removed let's them "see" in the dark which would be something like brighter colors or aura reading

Well, it should take place in a pirate's treasure cave with there being a half sunken ship nearby. The pirate killer should have 2 main abilities. The first is the ability teleprt to locations around the map where his treasure is hidden. Survivora can try to identify those spots and loot the treasur, but it will respawn elsewhwere in 90 seconds. 2nd power is the ability to phase through objects in a ghostly form. Thus cutting chases short. That ability has a recharge to it. The recharge is faster for each treasure node in play. Each hook the pirate scores shortens the respawn on his treasure timers by 5 to 10 seconds.
This killer would have map pressure, and a rechargeable ability to cut chases short. At the same time, he has counter play because diligent survivors can steal his treasure, thus mitigating his powers. Survivors gain a random BP bonus when they steal his treasure. If they escape after looking treasure, they get a 10% bonus to survival BP.
I assumed it was a ghost pirate defending his ancient treasures.

Something to do with Chests. :P The flintlocks would also be cool, but how do you balance it?

Have a Parrot that scouts, Flintlocks, Summons a black flag to debuff survivors or buff the killer.

Perks:
Hand off Me Booty: When a survivor loots a chest, their aura is shown for 3 seconds. That survivor becomes your obsession and is surrounded by a glowing aura. This effect lasts until they are put into dying state. Furthermore, the first chest looted is empty.
Sinking Feeling: After hooking a survey, the killer has x seconds to kick a gen. When they do, every gen not being worked on is put in regression and gens not in regression are highlighted in white for 4 seconds.
Hex Booby Trap: While active, destroying a dull totem causes it to explode, injuring the survivor.
Survivor: Irwin Mitchell- Archeologist and treasure hunter
Perks:
Jackpot: The survivor gains a stack for each chest searched on the map. Each stack rewards 25% extra BP to a max of 4 stacks.
Smelling Like a Rose: Gain a stack for each protection hit or safe unhook. Activate Smelling Like a Rose and leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds. Can only have 4 stacks at once
A Nose For Trouble: Once 2 gets are completed, and you have either worked on a gen for 30 seconds or performed a safe unhook, you become aware of trouble nearby. Any help totems within 4/8/12 meters will cause a chime to go off warning you of it's presence. Direction is not indicated. 60 second recharge.

I think his power would be to use his flintlocks to shoot a bolo round, which ensares survivors hit by it. He has two flintlocks, and therefore two shots before a reload. There is a short ADS, which the Buccaneer snickers during, giving a cue to alert survivors.
Being ensared will immobilize a survivor. Survivors can struggle to remove the ropes which takes 8 seconds. Another survivor can free them in 3 seconds. They are instantly freed once the killer hits them.
Addons can improve reload speed, ADS speed, snare effectiveness, number of shots and range
One Ultra Rare would be a bolo shot that would not free the survivor on hit, but has decreased durability
The other would be giving the Buccaneer essentially a normal flintlock shot for one health state. However, he is reduced to just one shot. This cannot be stacked with addons that increase his available shots
He moves at 110% initially, but while a survivor is ensnared, he speeds up to 120%. This could be used to either catch up to a long range shot, OR allow him to chase other survivors while the target struggles.

If I made a Pirate killer he'd have no M1 attack unless he's carrying a survivor or something. Otherwise it's M2 only. Hold M2 to fire a cannon that does area damage. Slow reload. Center of blast is an instant down, otherwise 1 health state.

Maybe drop treasure chests (traps) around the map which (forcefully) lure survivors to dig for a few seconds + skill checks.
