Whats with all the camping wraiths today?

Seriously why play the game if you only get 8-10k bp in the end and 1 hook if you are lucky?

Yeah since rework there were a few then it was holy camping Wraiths and all either full P3 or Legacy and now it's rare not to face a non camping Wraith.

I just had the same problem and went to the forums to see if it was just my luck, guess not.
In ps4 its all full of Wraiths, I haven’t found another killer in days, just camping and tunneling wraiths that disconnect when the survivor they were tunneling the whole match escapes. I dont really understand why

The anti camping forum police encouraged it now deal with it.

We tried to make suggestions but they were shot down.

Enjoy a game of camping killers

I dont understand how camping and tunneling is so prevelent when Make Your Choice is an amazing trump card on him.

Leave, bugger another survivor and get some time and BP, go back and down the rescuer as soon as they unhook. It works wonders especially when Pop Goes the Weasel is added to the mix.

On most Killers its kinda meh since they are to slow and obvious to reliably use it. But on the new Wraith its amazing (because he is fast and stealthy) and the MYC/PGTW combo can really destroy survivors.

Trapper too if traps are place right since you can either make them run into it in an unlikely spot too.

Most Wraiths are born campers. Like Pigs they'll go stealthy near the hook and camp.

I played wraith today and camped.

So fun when you get the timing of bell down. Lol survivors come like moths to a flame rescue whoever is on the hook.

It's not a bad strategy. Other survivors should just pop generators and escape...but no, they all want the "unhook" bps...or daily....or swf ...lol.

Speaking of camping Wraiths just had another P3 that had to camp off and on. While it's a good strategy eventually people will get smart and gen rush you and 4 man flashlight you.

You get more points for unhooking then doing the gen so of course people will go for the Altruism points until they make it so camping isn't so profitable.

That and survivors get way more for doing gens and not losing Altruism points for someone getting hooked. If the person on the hook being camped gets bonus points say distraction plus a portion of gen progress they'd sit there longer.

Throw in those bonus points for doing gens and people will leave the camper alone and gen rush permanently thereby forcing killers to stop camping for the most part.

So survivors are supposed to just stand around twiddling their thumbs then and wait patiently for the killer to arrive? That or killers want them to count to 100 before even touching a gen or go stand in the middle and sing.

Well that makes 2 logical fallacies there and no it doesn't work both ways since killers are trying to find survivors and they're trying to get out.

Their objective is to do gens the fastest way possible so in fact they can't camp since they're actually working towards that end goal.

When a killer sits there and cmaps and lets the other 3 survivors do gens and get out they're not working towards that goal.

If they're supposed to sacrifice all 4 survivors but only get 1 because they want to camp the Entity gives a message post game that says IT'S DISPLEASED.

Killer is doing his objective as the survivor does.
As long as survivors camp and tunnel a gen that is nearly finished, the killer can do the same.

Wait so now survivors are camping a gen instead of gen rushing? The killer has a choice to leave the camped person.

The survivor has to stay on that gen to finish it or get chased by the killer coming near it or to save that person. If there's a Devour hope up or the gates are powered.

There's a huge difference where 1 has a choice while the other in order to complete their objective has to stay and focus that 1 thing down.

When a killer moves around they can freely decide where they want to go in order to do their objectives and can roam the map taking a direct route to a gen.

The survivor can't always go the most direct route,e specially if it's directly in the open.

Imagine for a second, you are a survivor and do a gen up to 90%. Killer comes and searches around that area for you. But he doesn't find you.
Do you go for another, unrepaired gen or will you wait until the killer leaves, so you can finish the gen?

That was my original proposal to solve camping. Turn DH into a normal perk. Killers would instantly stop camping and i have a gut feeling, that the amount of teabagging would also drop.

I don´t know. It sure would change the way survivors go for unhooks. They would feel actual pressure to unhook the survivor before the killer gets to far away. Maybe nerf the distance a little bit. So it´s a race for both sides.

On ps4 and there are a lot of camping wraiths I've come across lately. I think the biggest thing is even when other survivors know hes camping they still go for the unhook rather then gen rush. Survivors need to just gen rush and punish the killer for camping. it sucks for the person who is hooked but no point in running in for the save to give the killer so many free points.

I've actually had some games where the Wraith had DH and still either camped right around the corner or just outside the 24 meter range. The funniest ones were the ones running DH and MYC and standing literally 5 feet away. These are all P3 Wraiths btw.

In fairness, a killer doesn't have as much freedom either. A good survivor will wait while I go clomping off towards that gen and sneak in behind me and pop the survivor i just left on the hook.

Also, I can slug the survivor that came to rescue the hook but a good team will have another survivor waiting for me to haul that slug off to another hook and pop the first one free. Or that slug creeps away while I camp and gets healed etc. Or,cuz I am pretty dumb, they bait me just far enough from hook to let another one in to unhook, who I might hit but the unhooked survivor gets a running chance (due to changes)

There is always a consequence (which, imo is what makes this game fun for both sides)
