How would you feel if missing a DS skillcheck allowed you to use it next time you get unhooked?
I'm not proposing to actually put this in the game, I just want to see how people would feel IF it actually was. And yes, it is a dumb idea. I literally just want opinions.

I'd rather not have this. Decisive Strike is a strong perk when used. If you miss, well then that's one of the consequences of using the perk.

That would be so true though.

It is risk/reward. Or it should be. It is too versatile at the moment, and you propose to make it even more versatile?
3 -
I’ll give you that, if you make the skill checks actually be random, spin clockwise or counterclockwise and be early or late. Some streamers play blind for the lulz and still hit it. I mean, how much more obvious can I be...

You are correct, maybe like a shorter window of time where you could use it if you missed the skillcheck the first time?

I'm sorry, but they could remove the skillcheck and nothing would change. It is such a non-factor of that perk. At least then people wouldn't be able to hide behind "BuT tHeReS a SkIlLcHeCk'

Make it more versatile but more situational
0 -
That would also be a good idea

How can you miss that skillcheck though.

Dont question it...

Its embarrassing
2 -
We've all done it at some point.

Do you mean ...
... actually punishing survivors for their mistake?
How dare we ...

Whatever, as long as DS instantly turns off if you do anything except vaulting windows/pallets and dropping pallets. Entering a locker, healing, being healing, rescuing from hook, touching a gen, totem, jigsaw box or fountain etc would instantly turn DS off.

Im not good at skillchecks but i can usually hit the basic stuff. But if i actually took the time to practice i cant imagine it being too hard

It´s totally OP since you could hold off on it till you need it. At the start of a match it can be kind of a waste yet once the gates are powered it´s a near guaranteed escape.

Yes but the DS skillcheck would be way harder to hit making it risky to do
0 -
It may change to counter-clockwise and become completely random the second time.

Sorry but if you miss a DS skillcheck, then you do not deserve another chance!!! ;-)

basically its a second chance on a second chance perk.
0 -
yes, but way less forgiving if you missed the first time
0 -
Then dont miss the first time.
Its ALREADY a backup perk. Dont rely on it so much that you need 2 chances with it.

The unforgiving part of DS is if you miss it you missed it. There is enough second chance mechanics in this game already that the last thing the game needs is hand holding with respect to skill checks too and yeah I often miss em because I'm a potato survivor. But that's the cost of running it.

Tbh I just made this to see what people would think about it

I know

Exactly what I said

You are asking to buff the strongest perk of the whole game.. honestly since they reworked DS like over 1 year ago i have missed skillcheck maybe less than 10 times TOTAL. It's super easy to hit

Imagine thinking you should get a second chance for failing to take advantage of your already unbalanced second chance.
This idea is horrible.

It's already a second chance perk, or do you want third chance perks introduced into the game considering it's current state on top of the fact even if mmr had worked as they'd claimed that you would then have not only swf but also no more potato swf groups or potato randoms and all your matches would become sweaty at your mmr ceiling> You don't want to make it even more sweaty for them if you like having people willing to play killer that aren't the sweatiest tryhards. On the bright side that could lead to queues for killers being less than two minutes. Survivor queues would increase to 5 though if too many of them decided to start only playing survivor rather than just quitting.
