About the shrine.
This weeks shrine is the worst shrine that I've personally seen. It's a joke. But that's not the point of this thread.
I think that free to play character's perks shouldn't be in the shrine. This weeks shrine has dwight, ace, doctor and wraith. These are all free to play characters.
The shrine should be specifically for perks that not everyone can get. Everyone can get free to play character's perks but not everyone can get perks from characters that aren't free. I think the shrine should be exclusive to characters that players have to buy, whether that be iridescent shards or auric cells.
Please let me know your thoughts on this. It's honestly so annoying to have perks in the shrine that anyone can get regardless.

Free to play? Dbd has price tag. At least it did when I bought it from the ps store.

While this shrine has 3 bad perks and a meh perk i have no problem with f2p characters perks in the shrine. It allows those who dont want to waste bloodpoints on say claudette for self care to get it easier. The problem isnt so much what perks are in the shrine, the problem is so many perks are useless or dont work as intended.

Ace isn't any more free to play than Yui or Zarina. He's a DLC character.
And Ace in the Hole is situational, but if you're running an item farming build or bringing a crazy good item with add-ons it's worth the slot

We all start playing at different times and not everyone plays survivors. I’m a killer main who only P3 one survivor and only use one survivor for some rituals. All my extra perks are from shrine and I’m totally fine with having none DLC perks in there.

It should be a weekly poll on the forums.
If survivors chose DS, let them, killers will vote for BBQ and Pop.
And each side will sabo each other.
It'll be a lot more interesting than the system they have now.

As far as I'm aware, Ace is basically a base-game character at this point. The "Of Flesh and Mud" Chapter that he hails from is included as base content in both the Definitive and Nightmare Editions of DbD (which have long-since replaced the original base version in most stores). These days, you'd have to go out of your way to purchase DbD and NOT get Ace as a free bonus.
I already have all the teachables unlocked up through the most recent chapter, but adjusting the Shrine to prioritize teachable perks from DLC characters that cannot be earned through in-game grinding (BP / Shards) would probably be really nice for those players just joining the DbD community.
Though I'd like to see them implement a "Perk Store" where players could spend Iridescent Shards on ANY teachable at any time (perhaps with an additional BP cost tacked on for perks not in the Shrine at that moment).

I play on stream on PC. The default game comes with the DLCs for The Last Breath and Lullaby For the Dark (Nurse and Huntress).
Every other DLC is only available with shards or cells. I bought the game in late 2019.

Exactly. I don’t mind seeing perks of base characters in the shrine, what I mind is seeing a shrine with all bad perks lol. This week’s shrine is awful.
