Shrine of Secrets has become boring and predictable.

Many of the same perks keep appearing over and over, whereas some perks have only appeared a few times, and a handful of others haven't been included in the shrine at all.

Devs, over the course of the next month would it be possible to only feature perks that have appeared less than five times? The very thought that there are quite a few perks that have never even seen the light of day in the shrine is pretty sad.

Well, the tome forces perks to appear that will be involved with the tome to appear, so its possible to get the same perks over and over again.

Its called RNG and devs selecting 2 perks to 100% appear

Dont forget, RNG repeatable with same perks

If true then that's downright depressing, because that means the devs are purposefully seeing to it that you grind as much as possible to get to the perks that you want.

If it was hand picked then DS, BBQ, etc would never appear, however both DS and BBQ have appeared in the Shrine before but due to us having over 100 perks now it would be really REALLY hard to get those in the shrine

If DS and BBQ never appear people would be so pissed. Look at Twitter, imagine week after week after month if BBQ and DS don't appear.

They're extremely rare, and hand picked.

Using iridescent shards to buy perks would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Just change the Shrine from 4 "RNG" perks to you can buy 2 Teachables (1 Survivor, 1 Killer) from the entire list of Teachables per week.

Old Teachables (All perks from older Chapters & Paragraphs) can cost 2000 Iridescent Shards.

New Teachables (newest DLC) can cost 3000 Iridescent Shards.

(would let me get Repressed Alliance for a meme build finally)

Leader has been in the shrine three times this year already (weeks of 14/01, 12/05, and this week). A somewhat useful perk that comes with one of the free characters.

So has No Mither (weeks of 14/01, 04/02, 30/06). A... terrible perk, unless you're a god at looping, that also comes with one of the free characters.

So has Discordance (weeks of 14/01, 01/04, and 26/05). A very useful perk (in my opinion, Legion main here), that comes with a character that can be bought with shards.

So has Boil Over (weeks of 01/04, 26/05, and 21/07). A pretty much useless perk that comes with a character that can also be bought with shards.

One could argue "well, many of these were necessary for the archives challenges". And while that's true, you would think that putting them out there ONCE while that particular archives tome is the current one would be enough.

Barbecue hasn't been in the shrine since the week of 20/08/19.

Decisive Strike since the week of 03/12/19.

If you think these are purely coincidental... idk what to tell you lol.

Also, you can check all the dates I've written here in the DBD official Twitter account, since they post a tweet every time the shrine is updated.

The Shrine is an antiquated design made for a game that only had three dozen perks. It needs a complete overhaul, much like the bloodweb.

its 100% hand picked. why would they put dlc perks/good perks in the shrine frequently? it’d make less people buy new chapters because they could get the perks from the shrine

I started playing DbD in October, and I'm extremely lucky that the shrine had Discordance, DS, BBQ, and (old) Hex: Ruin during those times.

I imagine it's very frustrating that newer players haven't gotten too many good things recently. Especially with the Tomes, which make 50% of the shrine very predictable.

Over half of the Stranger Things perks have never appeared, not even once. And that DLC is almost a year old now.

The shrine of secrets needs a little change, to be fair for all players:

Only perks from licensed killers/survivors should appear

Because that's what makes sense. The shrine's only purpose is allowing people to get the perks of licensed characters because they don't have the money to pay or because they just don't want to pay.

And usually, perks from licensed killers/survivors appear rarely.

The actual shrine of secrets adds nothing useful to the game, and must be changed.

I'd be happy if the BloodWeb had a trade in system like re-buys on perks in the shrine if when you already have a perk you trade 2k shards for blood points. I wanna trade useless bloodweb offerings/inventory items/add-ons for either blood points regained or shards. Doubt it'll happen though.

A quick fix would be to have 20 peed each time. That way more become available and the wait between appearances shorter.

I couldn't agree more. The RNG of the bloodweb can lead one to spend millions upon millions of bloodpoints should they have multiple teachables unlocked. It's one of the reasons why I don't prestige any of my characters.

Both the shrine and the web are long overdue for a rework.

Why not just make it a place where all perks will eventually become available for purchase at once? Older perks will cost less, newer perks will cost more, and perks that are classified as too new won't be available until a certain amount of time has passed since release (to incentivize buying the newest Killers/Survivors/chapters anyways). Also an exchange place where you can trade in your Iridescent Shards for Bloodpoints (if that's REALLY what you want).
