Talk about a rough start to year 4 of dbd...
DC penalties have been hijacked and removed twice, the new aura system removed, server upgrades drastically delayed , and now..mmr postponed for who knows how long ?...we really really need something good in this game rn...its just been one speed bump after the next

Well, the Bubba and Billy changes are good now and their add-ons are interesting, although it did take a few hotfixes to get right.

I think they should stop churning out Killers and Survivors for sometime and focus on fixing or at least minimize all the issues the game has.
I doubt it will be the case in the near future as DLCs are prepared and worked on from months on advance and if the next 2 chapters are licensed they have milestone to fulfill and contractual obligations.

Auras were not removed I believe, they just increased the brightness

I guess designer team cant take responsibility for fixing bugs it isnt in their competence. Their simply do their job - design and try to balance game and at the same time another team working on bugs

They're not using the new aura system rn..you can tell by how they look..these are nice but the others were a new style that was quite nice sans the lack of visibility

Yeah but any change the designers think of must be coded into the game, those coders could help fix bugs instead of coding more perks and Killers nobody uses after the first month. Designers can keep designing things and putting them on hold meanwhile the bulk of the workforce focuses on fixing all the problems and bugs the game has.
Some leakers say the next 2 chapters can only be bought with Auric Cells, those are usually used for licenced characters (one is supposed to be Candyman).

The most annoying thing for me who makes this new year awful is that we're probably wont see any seasonal event again, We had nor Lunar event or Scorched BBQ, RIP Halloween and Winter events too you'll be missed.

I mean, the fiasco started on the 21 Jan when Hex:Ruin was nerfed. So it was kind of obvious this year would be bad.

Let's be real though, how many people actually had Hex Ruin last long enough in a match to actually be able to complain about the change?
I know for myself I stopped using Ruin a long time before that and had swapped to Corrupt Intervention.
Back on topic though, if there's any glass have full to this it's that SURPRISINGLY BHVR seems to be cranking out hot fixes to bugs and balance changes far faster at home then they ever did at their offices lol.

It depends, some people wont stop asking for their favorite licenses no matter how obscure or unfitting they are, this very forum is cluttered with "How about (obscure character) in the game? Its super iconic and it will fit very well!", I think one of the problems we have for a patch centered only about bug fixing is the sheer number of people who will just buy any license they put in the game, that money is hard to ignore.
Also the thing that bothers me the most about those supposed 2 licenses is, if one is Candyman, who is a rather obsscure character with only 3 films, 2 of them AWFUL beyond words, who is the other one? once they run out of known licenses there is only the crappy b-movie/exlpoitation slasher films left. (Jason is not going to happen with the legal trouble and Chucky gameplaywise would be awful, only Pinhead left and I dont think is easy to get, outside of that there isnt much left to work with unless you go for crap like Maniac Cop or even worse things).

They could always just put in the guy that says "Garbage Day!" and then shoots you. It could be an insta-down but an Iri add-on makes it insta-kill.
