Do people actually thing they got tunneled when they can hit the killer with DS?
it blows my mind.
Im on ps4 and I have my messages turned on ( I play overwatch wich is toxic too, but there for every bad message i actually get well played messages too so it makes up for it) and I am not turning it off just for DBD...
But more about the content of these messages.
So on Red ranks Ps4 you have always a DS (90% of the games at least) so i work around it.
But somethimes you will still get hit by a DS.
People have to realise that its more then 60 seconds a killer has to worry about it.
If you hook someone and he gets rescued 30 seconds later its still up for 60 seconds and the killers probably in another chase by then or is even on the way to hook another one.
So long story short:
sometimes after a hook I chase a full healed survivor and when I down them they still DS me.
Well bad luck, but EVERY time this happens I get a post game message "thats what you get for tunneling noob"
first it was funny, i answered messages like this with "i get a 4k? guess imma tunnel actively next time"
but Every DS i get hit by you will recieve a message on ps4.
So do people who got fully healed and work on a gen again really think the killer tunneled them? are people really that braindead? or are they trolling?
I saw a video a few weaks ago where some small streamer got hooked next to a gen, got unhooked, got healed, got back on the gen and then complains about the killer checking on the gen and of course downing him... then DC because the killer tunneled so hard.
Is this the mindset of red rank survivors?
what do people expect killers to do.
"Oh theres a fully healed person on the gen I wanted to check, well too bad i have to ignore him because of some made up rules"
Im all for punishing tunneling and camping, but im also for punishing bad plays by survivors.
If you sit with your DS and unbreakable on a gen after being unhooked... thats not a skilled play, its just perks being strong in a situation they shouldnt be strong at.
Im all for buffing DS until you cannot tunnel a person anymore. make its uptime 3 minutes if youre being tunneled ffs, but nerf the invincibillity aspect former rank 15 players abuse to get to red ranks.
Yes MM was there and it worked perfectly, ranks dont matter, rank 20s are rank 0.5s and so on i dont care what excuse will be thrown around under this post.
So back to my question, this wall of text doesnt even matter:
If you hit the killer with your DS with 55s down or being fully healed again and sitting on a gen or somebody else went on the hook in the meantime... Do you think the killer tunneled you?
Thanks for not reading correctly, i know this forum by now. :)

It depends.
If during those 55s I was being chased and the killer refused to chase someone else, yes.
If during those 55s I was on a generator, no.

People say they get tunneled whenever they felt like they didn't want to go down right now.
I once found a survivor on a gen at 80%. Chased him, downed him, hooked him. Found another one, chased him on the other side of the map, downed him, hooked him. Still at 5 gens, thought "ok, then maybe kick the gen when no one knows about it.
Got back to the gen, found survivor A again working on it. Hit him, first kicked the gen this time, got into chase with him again. He DCed and his mates told me he DCed because I tunneled him

The current argument for DS being fine is that it isn't an anti-tunnelling perk, so it's okay if killers that weren't tunnelling get hit with it
but also
that DS can be avoided entirely by not tunnelling. Also that you should just slug them as if they don't often have unbreakable as well.
3 -
Oh yes i love this argument ^^
Slug them: they have unbreakable
Leave them: they have 60 seconds of gen progression.
If you assume everybody has DS heres some math:
5 gens = 400 seconds of work.
4 survivors
every survivor has 2 times 60 seconds of DS = 120 seconds
4 survivors have 480s of DS time.
Yeah just leave them. If you leave every unhooked person for 60s untouched they have enought time to repeair all gens and open both exit gates. And thats just the DS time.
I honestly dont think people who use "dont chase a DS for 60 seconds and youre good" as an argument never played killer in red ranks.

Eat the ds, 5 x 4 = 20 seconds instead of 480s. You are welcome.
1 -
sure because after eating a DS you just pick the survivor back up and hook them :)
2 -
"So what if he has ds and unbreakable, just ignore him and find someone else! Why do you need to target this specific survivor?"
Uhh cuz he just got off the hook and started doing a gen right in front of me but sure thing Nea I'll just let him get on with it...

Overwatch is no where near as toxic as dbd. When I find someone being toxic on Overwatch I type in "As whiny as the dbd community" and most people in the room say "Yeah, dbd is pretty bad".

That's one of the few problems with DS! I can literally hook 2 other survivor's, beat my meat and pack my bags, and still get hit by DS and even if I do play fair some survivor's will go out of their way to abuse DS and annoy the killer to use DS because eating one DS can cost the killer the whole game

DS isn't an Anti-Tunnel-Perk
DS is a You Can't Touch Me For 1 Minute
2 -
I wouldn't brag if your getting off in under 60 seconds!
11 -
Yeah just eat the DS. 4 Sec stun and its gone for good. The loss of momentum can be a pain but if you are applying good pressure DS shouldn't sway much. Half the time its a non issue in my games and the other half I count to 60 in my head while applying pressure elsewhere.

Daamn. Did you have to do it to him like that? No.
Did you do it to him? Yes.

When they message me, I have a fun habit of copying and pasting facts I find online just to really mess with them. For example...
It's been a very effective strategy for the past 8 months 😂 No one has ever messaged back.

I watch random streamers a lot, especially after I've killed them as killer.
Players will literally run into the Killer if they have DS active just to use it and then complain about being tunneled. Stupid as #########.

If you are getting 2 hooks within a min then a 5 seconds stun shouldn't be a problem

Sorry but DS isn't anti-tunnel. I hate this assumption. If DS were really an anti-tunnel perk, it would reset whenever a new survivor was hooked. DS is way stronger than it should be.

sure, punish playing good at killer, thats how games work

For me, it often happens when a Survivor unhooks me right in front of the Killer, then the Killer downs me. Rightfully so.
But, I wanna survive so um, DS time.

Survivors: DS isn't an anti-tunnel perk!
Also Survivors: Survivors only run DS because Killers tunnel!
2 -
Pretty much this. If DS skill check pops up, they'll always hit it regardless how you play (Even you don't tunnel and play completely fair)
It's just an excuse at this point

That's where your wrong because still getting hit with DS after hooking 2 other survivor's is literally punishing the killer for capitalizing survivor mistakes (which is how most killer's get their downs) and rewards survivor's for being dumb and practically resets the killer's potential.
What I mostly hate about DS is how it makes survivor's feel safe and imo survivor's should not be feeling safe at all

Is it tunneling if I hook a survivor, someone rescues before I even take a step, I down and hook them both? Because I get that a lot from survivors.
