Is there aim assist?

I was wondering if this is an actual thing. There have been times where I had the perfect hit, only for the camera to lock onto the survivor and miss. If there is it seems to be different from each killer. Spirit and Demogorgan seemingly having the highest of it, in my experience. It's a common exploit that survivors I play against use because the can just point blank run at me and somehow miss getting hit. I'm on console if it helps, which is why I'm suspicious of some sort of aim assist.

    Yes, there is an aim assist. Sometimes its a curse, sometimes its a blessing.

    Its a curse when you try to lunge at someone behind a corner and the auto aim makes you hit the wall.

    Its a blessing when you lunge at someone and the survivor decided to dead hard through you and the auto aim literally turns you around doing a full 180 and downing that survivor.

    There is this aim assist on every platform

    They call it aim dressing but it is aim assist. Nobody likes it because it makes you hit something else.
