I hate cross play and I can't opt out!

That was the promise right? You can opt out of cross play. I go to options and the check box for cross play is greyed out and I can't click it to turn off. Frankly it should be off by default and all the players that want it can opt in. So far there has been no upside to cross play for me. Queue times are same as always. If anything it just feels laggier.

Go to the options on the main menu. Like where you select killer or survivor.
I heard you its greyd out if your already in a lobby but isn't if you do it from main menu.

You have to do it from the main menu. If you try it from the survivor or killer menu it won't work.
