Switching off cross-play results in a loooong queue time
Why didn't devs even mention this ? I've gave a shot with the cross-play option but all I had in my red ranks were players who repaired 1 gen in 5 minutes... Obviously this is some kind of a parody and I decided to switch it off. And what do I get ? 2x longer queues.
Honestly I'm not sure how is this even possible since the PC player base didn't change at all. Why people who decide to opt out of cross-play are punished for no reason ?

Because PS4 survivors were experiencing high wait times before the implementation. PC killers as well.
Cross play was the obvious solution to this.

It happens because if you disable crossplay, it can't always match you with players with crossplay on cuz they will get sent to a lobby that has a console player.

I'm on PS4 and having it switched off didn't really affect queue times for me as Killer. It's always been a few seconds. Not sure about Survivor though.

Has anyone tried queues on the usually quick ones with crossplay turned off - surv on pc and killer on console?

I will gladly go back to long wait times as killer to get these console survivors out of my lobbies. They are potatoes for the most part. They play like little ballerinas with their try-hard 360s that don't work. I have felt like I'm playing green ranks all day now. No choice to opt out on PC that I see of.

Killer que on console is instant with crossplay turned off.

From what I can tell is that Survivor Queues are extremely long, longer than before, even with Crossplay on.

I'm on ps4, I turned off crossplay and I'm only waiting a minute or two for a match as survivor or killer. When I had crossplay on I was waiting around 10 minutes. 🤷♀️

i Played 3 hrs last night and 2 hrs today of cross play my ques were longer and the game lagged and the frame rates were worse. Early on PS4 red rank my solo survivor que times were 3-4 minutes on cross play they were 10-15 minutes. I went back to solo on PS4 exclusive and my que times are 3-5 minutes. I gave cross play a chance. For me it is Hard Pass moving forward.

Ok? What exactly did you expect? The exact same queue times despite having a fraction of the playerbase to be matched with?

It makes me angry though. I’ve decided I don’t want cross play on anymore, but if I turn it off then I can’t play the game at all.
