Voice Chat?

I'm sure this is a pretty common request but with crossplay here I think it's pretty important now.

I didn't care too much before since you could just use Discord on PC or party chats on console, but now that I can join friends on other platforms it makes it a nightmare to communicate.

Text chat on consoles would be nice too! I'm not fussed with that though, mainly just voice chat in-game that I'm looking for.


For clarification I just mean voice chat between the party and nothing more, I'm not talking about proximity chat or anything like that. I just want a way of talking without needing external stuff to communicate with friends, especially with crossplay making it even harder.

    I don't want this game to look like Friday the 13th. Voice chat will make the game more toxic than it already is.

    It'd be a waste of time and resources for the devs. Voice chat would likely be turned off by most players due to how toxic the community is, and it'd take too long to type with a controller for text chat to be of any use.

    It would be nice, but at the same time.. for having played games with voice chat cough*Deceit*cough I know it would end up badly for everyone involved.. so yeah, better not implement that.

    voice chat in a party may work but if there is voice chat between all survivors then the game will be ruined. It would become part of the game to communicate with your team like that, and I personally would stop playing due to the angry 13 year old claudettes telling me to take agro for them so they do totems or some #########. Party chat is a yes, survivor chat is a ######### no lmao no way, just give me points and waves im happy with that.

    Yeah voice chat between parties is needed, not in solo though cuz it would just make the game more toxic

    If they add voice chat to this game, I will be turning it off completely.

    If they add it and opting out is not an option, it might be enough to make me stop playing.
