What is the best way to communicate with my friend on different platforms?

So my friend plays dbd on ps4 and I’m on pc. Is there a way from dbd or from a 3rd party app that will allow us to use voice chat from separate platforms (like for example Fortnite has a built in voice chat to allow communication from different platforms)
