Yet another mori/key rework idea
In the best tradition of making things more complicated than they have any right to be, how does this sound:
Moris:
Instead of them being an offering, they become an automatic mechanic again. BUT:
In order to be able to mori a survivor , a new 'aggravation' (or somesuch) counter needs to be filled:
Each time a survivor stuns or blinds the killer, unhooks someone within 5 seconds of them being hooked, using things like Head On or DS, it gets a counter. Once it hits a certain number, you can mori the survivor. Basically it's payback for a survivor annoying the hell out of you.
Keys meanwhile can not be brought into the game, but can only be found, and there's just one type now. BUT, the moment anyone picks up the key, the killer will get a notification AND be able to see the hatch if it spawned already. if the keyholder gets downed or hooked, the killer can pick up the key.
I mean this idea, as weird as they may sound.

I like the idea but if the killer can see a notification of the key, it is a bit OP

Maybe if the key isn't visible. So, just a notification that someone has a key, but not whom, and the killer wouldn't know till the hatch either opens or the person is hooked?

I think this could be cool, really depends on how much the aggravation counter can take though.

Yeah. I mean, would it make sense to give a counter for 'wasting' pallets and the chain-vaulting to cause explosions to distract the killer/prevent them from hearing sounds nearby? (Personally I reckon that might prevent a lot of toxic behaviour, cause, imagine the killer could mori you the moment they find you cause you've been vaulting excessively before the first gen even popped)

What about the aura reading abilities of the keys and it's other addons?

I had a counter argument to this

We should go back to the ripe year of 2016 when moris didn't require hooking someone and brand new parts insta gen'd

I have a thread somewhere about reworking charms to have them do something. The aura reading could be put on that maybe?

That would be quite cool

Just make them totems for Mori and keys should take time to open, maybe 5 seconds, another idea is that Mori only lets you kill 2 survivors.

Eh, I think making them totems or take that long would break them more.

Bringing this back up, because I think with 'Undying' coming into the game and general some things that make a match last longer having the aggravation meter might pan out decently.
As for the keys: alternatively one could go that keys can only be found in a match, but killers can find them too and get more bloodpoints for it?

Yeah, no. This just gives the killer more of an advantage over us and makes it easier for killers to just let themself get blinded/stunned/or let the survivors do their job to -survive-Keys are a perfect way to counter mori's and as is mori's are in a need of a nerf. As far as I'm concerned, ultra-rare mori's shouldnt be popping up like weeds in a garden. This will also make it so that SWF people kinda just leave the game because you decided to kill them after them doing their job to GET AWAY.
Killers seeing the hatch is like LB, But more broken since they could just sit there and wait for you to come; shut the hatch and go from there. You might as well be telling them to run a NOED or FD team. Killers should not be able to see the hatch, should not be able to pick up the key and shouldnt get a notification because a survivor got lucky and picked up a key
It's like your purposely trying to tip the favors of a killer who already has enough as is.

No. This whole idea is stupid from top to bottom and that's saying something. Killers having mori's are already annoying cause they pop up like weeds in a garden while we can't even get a DK or SK half the time. Key's are perfectly fine and if anything mori's chances of spawning should be much lower the key's so that you can't just waltz into match only to see everyone DC because either you tunneled them or attempted to kill them.
We are simply doing our job as survivors to band together and -survive- if you can't handle that I dont know what to tell you. Us stunning and blinding you isnt even a problem when you mind game or tilt your camera out of the blinding affect. Chances are that if we get unhooked within the first 5 seconds of being hooked, you'll tunnel them or they'll have BT to keep moving. I'd really wish people stop coming up with ideas to tip the game into the killers favor.

Pushing this up, cause c'mon, it is a good idea and it probably would stop at least some brats from being obnoxious.
