Chapter 17 Teaser Is Out, What Do We Think About It?
I'm almost positive its a werewolf. You can hear glass breaking, something transforming, and the shadow in view seems to have a dog like head and hairy arms.
Edit: People have pointed out the startling similarities to the alchemist. So it could possibly be a combination.

Yeah,i immediately got a werewolf kind of vibe from this teaser

Imagine all the skin possibilities that would come with a werewolf killer
4 -
Blonde fur,black fur,red fur...
Endless possibilities :0

probably not a werewolf, otherwise it would just end up being a mix of oni+demo.
if anything im hoping its Dracula or Frankenstein's monster as that video looks very story teller ish

Either way, super stoked it's not Springtrap. Getting a Jekyll and Hyde vibe from this though, isn't this next chapter supposed to be licensed?
7 -
If you didn't notice. We have a lot of killers that are kind of similiar.
Hag and Trapper
Billy and Leatherface
Myers and Ghostface
etc.

The sound seems to me like something being inoculated from a syringe, then the syringe is dropped and breaks, and the person gets transformed.
or: the Alchemist from Hallowed Blight
5 -
hmmm good point

There's a sword at the centre bottom of the screen, although it's fairly faint. Could that indicate something?

The Wolfman?

I think thats supposed to be a turn in the wall.

It's the alchemist, I seriously don't comprehend how people aren't seeing that. It even has the same lightning as the archive video and all.

This is even more vague than Deathslinger's teaser..

looks like..

I think it's the alchemist from the hallowed blight event.
First, a second dig through the code from data miners showed that the killer can be purchased through shards, most likely showing it's not licensed. (this is not confirmed though, take it with a grain of salt)
Second, it is animated and shot similarly to the "The Alchemist" short from tome 1 (the end of the short is very similar to the teaser).
third, at the beginning of the teaser, you can hear an injection, followed by glass breaking. The end of the tome short shows "the alchemist" (a hidden figure, most likely human) injecting himself with the serum with the same sound effect (the same serum that comes from the pustula flowers and the Halloween cosmetics for most of the non-licensed killers).
I don't think it can be anything else.
1 -
Just a wild guess, but it could be "the alchemist"
Could be a call back from Tome 1's very first memory, which talked about "The Alchemist" in a log titled "The Hunger".
In this video and from several lore bits that the character "The alchemist" is shown, he's seen going through withdrawal due to a lack of serum being available after both the events conclusion. For those of you who might remember, we saw this character during the 2018 Halloween Event "The Hallowed Blight" which shows this characters debut. During his first introduction he's seen collecting serum and experimenting on The Trapper while he's bound by chains.
During "The Withering Blight" in 2019 he was brought up during The Archives debut, where he's depicted as someone trying to gather anymore serum that's available, unfortunately to no avail.
Why does this matter for the teaser though?
Well, due to the nature of the teaser being vague and showing little to the viewers, it's hard to say if this is exactly what i'm referencing above. Both characters are shown being in agony constantly, and the figure in the teaser above is shown to be in a tattered robe, similar to "The Alchemist". So if I had to guess, it could be an introduction to The Alchemist's final form as "The Hunger", a fitting name to his situation from what I described above.
Or it could be a Werewolf like others have suggested above, who knows. We're getting close to Halloween though so it's not entirely off the table for either of those guesses.

If you look extremely closely you can see a snout starting to form. Definitely a werewolf. I just hope it's not too similar to Demo with the Shred attack or Legion with increased speed from Feral Frenzy.

And the same walking pattern. I don't know what to call it.. cartoon style maybe?

I don't see anything protruding from his face in the video, he's clearly in a tattered robe so that might be what you're seeing idk.

Staggering is probably what you're thinking of. Both characters are shown staggering in pain, The Alchemist because he's going through withdrawal and this character for whatever reason. Could be the same character, could be someone else.

As someone already mentioned.. Looks like Jekyll/Hyde.. glass being a dropped beaker as he was a Dr. and as he transforms, he gets bigger, but not really wolf-like

Well we'll see next week maybe?
1 -
It's the alchemist..no doubt if the teaser is honest

A chapter that will release when Halloween is just around the corner?
"Something is festering in the Fog."
A guy who seems to be transforming into something else?
Screams Vigo/The Alchemist to me.

Honestly would rather the Devs to buff/ rework old perks that suck, like the meta is getting kinda stale

Its not candyman......... there for reeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 -
I think it is that Alchemist; I heard an Injection squeezey noise in the beginning, and the vial of the syringe shattering
0 -
He clearly injected/drank something and dropped it. And he's definitely transforming. Is this end transformation the killer that we will be getting or it will it be a part of his power?

people kept saying next 2 chapters were going to be licensed show how much people know.
1 -
Leaks had shown files saying it was only purchase able with cells but that was very recently changed to include shards. Leaks by Daylight is not always right as things can change before being officially announced or released. Always take things like that with a grain of salt.
3 -
yea but like weeks ago people were so sure I was saying it maybe another OC people would say nope it was licensed.
0 -
Those people are not the brightest bulbs lol. For a while I was pretty sure it would be licensed as well but being nothing official I didn't fully commit to the idea.
P.S. I totally just realized I replied to you on two different threads with the same thing, sorry

Thank god, another chapter! I was really worried they would be focusing all their attention on stupid things like fixing the game before breaking it again. Matchmaking, balancing and server performance improvement are such a waste of time. I have my credit card ready for all the new DLC!

I think those “things” growing out of his back are spines, not fur, they’re too even to be fur, and if it was a werewolf, then how was it not already one when it entered the realm?

yea i saw that it ok

Petty

Its my suspicion as well. Vigo's journey has come to an end.

You almost got me there lol

@JesterClown How is that petty? I think it's petty that you think I can't have my own opinion. Go lick your salty wound somewhere else.

Maybe we're getting an Eldritch Knight or something to that effect, that could be awesome!

its funny how cringey the anti fnaf crowd is. I think its petty that you have to announce to your forums your happiness that it wasnt a certain killer.
0 -
@JesterClown ...and that's your opinion, the 'pro-fnaf crowd' could equally be seen as 'cringey' too. So, instead of calling me out for having an opinion on a PUBLIC FORUM, quit being so butthurt and move on.

Cringey and petty behavior deserves to be called out, nobody likes petty people. Notice how no fnaf fans have been saying “darn shouldve been springtrap”, the cringey anti fnaf crowd has been the most vocal

Le sigh, so do you have anything of value to bring to this thread, like maybe the topic? @JesterClown Who do you think the next killer is gonna be?

I'll be honest, I don't see a werewolf. Looking at the last frame, I don't see this "snout" people are bringing up, And the "fur" people see is more than likely just his cloak being tattered as a result of his transformations into a blight-monster not unlike what we've seen from the Hallowed Blight and Withering Blight cosmetics.
To further add on to the evidence that the Alchemist isn't a werewolf, here's what we can see from his transformation.
Admittedly, it's not much to work with, but glowing orange mouth and eyes just don't seem very "werewolf" to me. They do, however, scream "Blight."
I would love a werewolf Killer, but the Alchemist just doesn't seem likely.

Its gunna be a lycanthrope most likely, it just gives all of those vibes, I see people talking about the alchemist and if its it that, brewing sort of potion over time and getting to be a lycantrope sounds cool. Maybe something like a permanent transformation but the potion takes awhile to make.

I asked Peanits on his stream yesterday what his thoughts on a werewolf killer were, he said he couldn't see what its power could even be. Obviously, he can't leak anything, but the way he said it made it sound unlikely that it's a werewolf.

Thats a relief to some people, I know a guy who really didnt want a werewolf, though it could very much be trying to deflect by acting oblivious. If not a werewolf I definitely think its one of the classic monster figures
