Low graphics being removed? Balance?
So I’m all for cross play but surely there needs to be tweaks to balance the game, I’m not fussed about the mouse over controller and all platforms have bad survivors but the low graphic setting brightening and making the game easier seems like an unfair advantage. Comparing to average settings it’s quite a big difference to seeing people in the distance, following scratch marks etc. Just a thought, also make the endgame chat for all platforms, would be nice to chat and say gg to other platforms

Yeah well it is somehow unfair but it is what it is. You cant just ask for a nerf of PC players just cuz we play on a PC which is 100% better for this type of game.

What do you want? That PC players have the same FPS like you guys on console? Cuz that would be the case if they removed low graphics settings. This game is an unoptimised ######### and i believe it'll stay that way.

You can’t say PC is better if you need to run low graphics, I’m looking at it from a balance point, you could also get a better PC if your frames aren’t good on normal settings, console isn’t that bad. Either add it for all or remove it for all, asking for balance not nerfs.

So If it relly gives you a an unfair advantage... why you don't use it. And better question why do you want to punish people with a weak pc (Idk what different it makes in console).
And also they are people who can't see actually anything If the game is too dark, because they have a something with their eyes. Like me... on Ultra I can't even see the ground on lower res I can. Is that unfair?

So stick it on average, that’s what console players deal with, we don’t have the choice to make the game brighter and easier to see, we’re stuck without the choices. Console has no ability to change game settings, it’s why they should add it to all or remove it for all

It is an advantage, it quite clearly is and it’s not to make the game look better. Console is a cheaper platform and that’s why people get it, it’s simple and cheap and I don’t see why console players should be told to get a pc to make the game balanced

I don’t even see the point in discussing stuff with you, all you say is pc is better and yet you have to run low graphics? Also asking for balance is a fair and reasonable ask, should be the same no matter the platform.

Low graphics settings is different to tv settings though, it changes the whole games visuals. And not everyone can afford pcs, and if they have money they would want a good pc able to run higher than low graphics. I don’t understand why all these pc players are so hurt about a balance suggestion.....

Yeah filters changes the pictures, it makes certain things pop out more, it has less mono tones than default, your scratch marks etc are more visible.

Removing it wouldn't do anything anyway. You can force the game to run at reduced graphical fidelity with stuff like Nvidia control panel and the equivalents from other manufacturers, and that's undetectable.
Trying to force standardized graphical settings like that in PC games is usually a very unpopular move as well. It is sort of a new thing to even have to think about as crossplay is a sorta new thing, but at least basic configuration of graphical settings is a very established standard in PC gaming. The only realistic option is to make sure low graphics don't give any truly wacky advantages.

Because what you're wanting is not balance. Its just messing with PC players. If we wanted locked graphics settings we would buy consoles.
Its okay if you want graphics settings in consoles or better optimization, but asking for, in some way. nerf for the PC players just cuz consoles are that way is not okay in my opinion. Nothing against you.

Stretched screens is possible, that’s an advantage too. Point is when they make something crossplay they need to make it balanced for all players...

I did say add it to all, one platform shouldnt be allowed when another isn’t that’s all, it’s not about locking your ability but about making it fair, that’s a reasonable ask. So if so many pc players need to run low graphics for it to be playable, for brighter games and easier visuals it should be on all platforms... it’s not like console couldn’t have low graphics etc.

Why would you want to remove options from PC instead of asking for more options for console? If you think low settings give an advantage, lobby the devs to add a low settings option for console players.
As it is now the game is so poorly optimised and difficult to run that plenty of people need to play on low to get decent frames and performance. Removing that option would only make the game worse for those people.

I’m just saying it needs to be looked into, title is to draw people in, but you can see a lot of pc players run on low, this does help with distance views, corn etc. And that’s why I’m saying it need a look at, or like it said in other comments add it to all platforms

Just how, exactly?
anybody can modify their screen to their bump up their brightness, resolution,etc in the way they see fit
From a pc player, ultra settings literally makes the game darker, which is why I rather play in low

You cannot simply remove the low Settings, there are people who cannot run the game on better Settings on PC. While it is clear that DBD is poorly optimized, removing players from the game because others gain an advantage by using Settings they would not need to use is simply wrong.
To be honest, it is not even the worst advantage you get when using low Settings. E.g. War Thunder used to have (or maybe even still has) a visual system which goes exactly after what you see. And low Settings removed tall grass, meaning that you can clearly see stuff someone on higher Settings would never ever be able to see. It is not that big in DBD.
And well, I see it as a bad trend to assume that others are playing on low or with stretched Screens just because they manage to outplay the other side.

Because for some pc players, for example me, filters are the only way to play the game as killer at all. Why? Because the devs are not intrested in adding a colorblind mode, where you can shift aura colors. Thats why i have to use filters. there are several maps, if i play killer, where i cant see the auras of gens, and have to search for them. Is that balanced to you?
But it is the reason i got a pc, so i can adapt settings and filters. So, you make balancing better for one group, and worse for another. Maybe its just depends which group you are on.

I could run DBD at Ultra settings at 60 fps or at low settings and get 120 fps. People such as me simply prefer more FPS, partly because of our monitor's high refresh rate. We want to play games as smooth as possible.
Also why remove it? That's silly. Instead they should give the option of low settings for console players so that they have that advantage too and can also gain more fps - which I hear is lacking.
