It's kinda crazy , I have NEVER seen a game community this toxic.
I'm only a rank 7 killer and just got DESTROYED by a 4 man swf which is just a normal day as killer , doesnt bother me. but when I get people like this it really makes the game hard to pickup again. Disclaimer: I camped the ONLY Survivor I hooked all game AFTER the gates were opened and the other 3 still had borrowed time and still got away with a nice easy win because I failed to do my job properly , but this is what killers have to deal with all day long, and why the toxic cycle on both sides continues.

It does absolutely suck. People just being completely asshats to each other has caused me to want to quit the game far more often than DS/Unbreakable combos or Face Camping Killers
Luckily, I'm on Xbox so generally I only have to deal with people being asshats every so often (as it is just a pain in the butt to send messages to one another since you're typing a message on a Xbox Controller and you have to specifically find and send me a message, it's not a chat board that they can just throw comments into).
These clowns either don't realize or don't care that they're going to be the ones that kill the game when they drive people away because they're acting like fools.

Saw the original screenshots. Next time, just say "ok" and leave. It's not your job to sit in the post-game lobby and listen to smack talk. It's a courtesy to chat there, and if they aren't being courteous, just bail. Besides, it'll piss em off more because they didn't get to vent or make someone else as miserable as they are.

my first experience with league of legends was "play with my friend against bots" "we lose cause it was my first game" "they mass report me with their buddies" "I got a 2 week ban after playing 1 practice game"
just sayin it could be so much worse

The game's not going to die because people on the internet are being mean to some sensitive kids. Honestly the state of this community is more exaggerated than it is toxic. If someone uses actual offensive language you can report them because the admins see chat logs, and if they don't then you don't have any reason to be mad.

I dont think it would ever get to the point of the game dying , definitely not , but as for the game flourishing more easily, this definitely stalls it.

The best thing you can do with people like this is to ignore them and move onto another game. It’s the same reason I turned off my PS4 messages. They get a kick out of sending abuse, taking that away from them is what annoys them the most. A response is what they want. Just remember that.

People have been complaining forever that survivor side queues take a long time to find a match. Why do you think that is?
It's not all toxic people being asshats but I imagine that plenty of killers (especially new killers) just flat out quit the game because they didn't have a fun game and now some clown is being a complete ######### about it.
So yeah, kill the game might be a bit of a hyperbole but I feel like my ultimate point still stands.

I've played many full loot pvp games that aren't half this bad. It's pretty much unmatched in 25+ years of online pvp for me. Warhammer 2 release Pyro squads, open world WoW pvp server griefers, age of conan tortuage exit campers, WoT, WoWS, SMITE, TERA, even Diablo 2 ear bounty hunter cheaters weren't 10% as toxic as this community is on a daily basis - it's pretty one-sided too, probably most because killer has a lot of hard limits, is alone, and can't do much to retaliate frankly.

Not condoning this sort of behavior, but this type of garbage is present in other games as well. Sorry you experienced this, but if you find yourself getting heated, just don't stay for post game chat. Personally, I don't see a point to it. It's just used for smack talk and passive aggressive "ggs".

What do you mean retaliate? If you're really frustrated by the community you can mute chat and pretend it never existed. Survivors will be the most insulted by killers who do this.

I actually haven't seen any of this since cross play, since no one but PC can talk to each other, and it's not full PC lobbies every game anymore.

It's been mentioned previously, but just move on and don't give them the light of day. People like that are always people who feel inferior, and for some reason being able to twiddle some knobs more successfully than others (especially with all the benefits SWF bring) means something - especially when their lives are clearly crap already.

Actually I keep a scrapbook folder of screenshots just because. But there hasn't been anything of note since cross play, since most of the people can't talk anymore.
