As a Console player, I am not afraid of Cross Play
I know there are many that feel the new Cross Play feature is not enticing by any means. There are debates about performance issues of the consoles compared to PC (FPS, control scheme differences, ability to aim with mouse versus a control stick, yada, yada, yad...), others say that PC players are sweaty try hards, and even more claim console players are literal buttcheeks at the game.
While these debates go on, I would just like to say that I have been having quite a blast with the feature. I'm running into a bigger variety of Killers, not just the same Spirits and Freddys you see in red ranks on PS4. Getting chased by a high skill Billy or a sharpshooter Huntress is thrilling, and has brought even more excitement to my chases as Survivor. As Killer, I find my games can be so dramatically different. Either I get my Killer cheeks completely clapped within the first few minutes, or I can pull off a sweet comeback at the final generator. Even with my losses, running into good players on different platforms, whether it be Xbox or PC, is just cool and exciting to me.
No one has to agree with me, and I fully understand if you are absolutely hating the Cross Play right now. But I am having a good time, and hope that the Devs will maybe give us a few more features (like symbols to indicate platform) in the future.
Just looking to spread some positivity today. Lemme know your thoughts and experiences so far! Good luck in the Fog, everyone! Maybe we will cross paths someday 😊

Its not bothering me. But FPS on Hawkins and the Game is making me less and less likely to want to enable crossplay.
Crossplay was very sloppy in implementation. They put PC players against all console players. Its not an issue of PC players being better/toxic/whatever excuse you have for being bad. Its entirely a matter of performance.

They do need to fix the FPS on console but I've been ran by console survivor so I think at least as survivor it's not that bad.

Killer on console is just hell. Plain and simple. I get better performance on my gaming laptop, than an entire console that can run Red Dead Redemption 2 with ZERO lag.

So, uhh... Have you noticed the better performance of PC players? I mean, them not being there isn't gonna give you an FPS boost.

Everyone else in the game suffers the same FPS that I do, so it is more fair

honestly i agree with pretty much everything u said. crossplatform has been a blast.

True, but a PC survivor on your team gives you an advantage then, right?
Also, FPS is by no means the same per every PC. Some folks might have 120+, while Jimmy on his K-Mart computer is getting 15 FPS on low. PC folks have dealt with the delta of different machine performance since online multiplayer gaming began, and things have gone alright.
Don't get me wrong, I fully agree that you get an advantage, but the gap will never be closed to the satisfaction of most.

Me and my console buddies are enjoying it as well. I think majority of the playerbase feels the same from what I’ve seen on here, twitter and reddit. Only a few don’t like it mostly because of controller vs KB/M even though this isn’t a competitive shooter or an fps like CSGO or something. I know some console players are saying it’s not about that it’s about the performance but no, a lot of the comments I’ve seen complain about the input method and others complaining about encountering many PC “hackers” on day one of crossplay which is clearly not true. The community has been asking for crossplay for a long time and we finally got it along with an option to turn it off for those who don’t want it.

I tried it. Wasn't impressed. Will probably turn it off until both frame rate on console is fixed and they do something about hackers. A major reason I game on Xbox is to avoid that kind of #########.

I play on PS4 and have found that my ping is a fair amount higher, and that’s with playing wired. So, that’s really my only real issue thus far, but that’s kinda negligible most of the time. I just don’t like seeing the little bar be in the yellow/orange range more frequently. But It’s made finding matches way less painful, at least

Things I want for console players, end game chat and fixing performance (steady fps, 30 is enough if it's steady) I agree with everything that you put, I miss playing against console players myself since I moved to pc, it's fun to see the difference between platforms.

Same, cross play for the most part has been fine for me on ps4. Though I wish I wasnt hindered by the lower frames and a controller, it's still very playable

I haven't found a huge difference between console and PC players against my Nurse. Most people have no idea how to run a good Nurse regardless of platform. Console players are a little easier to read because they can't turn as fast, but that's about it.

Yeah, uh, had one last night. Playing with a mate who basically never plays so I was using an alternate account.
Still ran them really well and literally only got hit ONCE.

Not to say you didn't lead a good chase but if you only got hit once then it wasn't a good nurse.

She could blink, but she couldn't TRACK. It may be because the nurse player was rank 15 and everyone else was 17-19, myself included on that account, but everyone was going down immediately.

I am honestly having more fun now in my small 1k hours played then ever before. I feel like with cross play I got a new pool of players who know how yo play compared to new players on the switch. I mean the game was fun anyway but I like that I am finding more people with equal or better experience than myself. I am happy the MMR is gone and Cross Play is here. =)
