Cross-play - first impressions (PS4), pros and cons
Its not a feedback for the team, altough it can be, but i intend just to get some discussion.
I played 10 matches yesterday, mainly as killer, with crossplay. Here go what i felt:
1 - PRO: matchmaking times are perfect!
2 - CON: PC players have a smoother gameplay, given the preposterous perfomance of ps4 at 30 fps or less. This actually gives then a movement control that is confusing. Looks like they are flowing and i am struggling to render the game, hence land a hit. Well, i mean, we at consoles get the general disadvantage of a very low FPS against great FPS, as normal in most pvp action games.
3 - PRO: nicknames from Steam are way more hilarious!!!
4 - PRO: i fell like the hole community is finnaly bound together. I play feeling like "welcome you all from other platforms!"
5 - NEUTRAL: no crosschat. It will come, but by now it save me from salty messages, but unhappily also doesnt allow me to talk to good and healthy players. I felt desire for the post-game chat, despite the toxicity, cause of that. Was an unexpected desire.
6 - CON (because of low FPS at consoles): ppl from PC arrive with different moves and we have to learn how to counter it. Its interesting and very cool to learn, except that the FPS disadvantage turns it out way harder, almost looking like cheats sometimes the way a survivor disappear from your view even in narrow corridors...
7 - BIG CON: PC players can cheat!!! And I swear god i saw some moves yesterday i never tought was possible. But the low FPS and the new survivors moves make me never think its a cheat unless too obvious. But, the peace in mind that i have a 100% non hacked match is gonne. The point here is, if the matchmaking is fast at my console and region, better avoid PC players.
8 - PRO: looks like in PC the average players age is older than console. Got genious survivors with perfect gameplay a lot of matches, but no tbaggs at all! Only one exit tbag. (I point out toxicity use to be an imature or childish behaviour, as older a person is, the more respectful he/she may become with other ppl... but its not a rule at all!!! Kkk).
Well... what am I gonna do? I will keep the crossplay on, unless one day I get a hack too obvious and it happen sometimes until i give up of crossplay and will use it only when queue times are way too long.
But, well... Welcome you from all platforms to games with us from PS4. :D

Good points! From a PC survivor and killer I can agree with most of them, I feel like there will be a small adjustment period for everyone and the lack of any communication between platforms is a bit disappointing (though understandable), but most of my crossplay matches have been great. :D I love the fact that the whole community is finally able to play together.

I encountered either a serious bug or a cheat one game as Killer. Within 30 seconds of the game starting, a gen was finished but it didn't register as being done on the counter until another one was done a few minutes later. I have to agree that dealing with PC people is obnoxious because of how console performs compared to PC. But it's not like you really know who is or is not on PC by their names. There are console people with PC like names.

Lets pray! :)
Yeah, as survivor, no queue time is amazing by itself.
Oh, i thought only Steam allowed such long and free-written nicknames. Tks for that. I got a lot of fun nicknames in PS4 Network also, but the ideas are restricted by the nicks rules limits.
