The Dead by Daylight community is probably the only community in existence that actually supports ragequitters // is against DC punishment and that means something. It's also one of the most toxic communities, coincidence? I don't think so. Just toxic people being toxic.

This is irrelevant. It is bad sportsmanship to disconnect in a game. The only excuse is internet failure or real life emergency. If you start a match, you finish a match. The only time someone can be a jerk is in after game chatter. During a game, this is a PVP context, and our jobs are to kill or survive by all means within the game possible. That's it.

This is factually incorrect. The survivor's teammates are at a disadvantage if someone disconnects. Possible objective points are lost by all sides if someone disconnects. It is bad sportsmanship. I play every game to the bitter end. People who are not up to finishing games they start should find another hobby. It is no different from upending the table in real life when you don't get what you want and storming out of the room.

I was bored, so I decided to play a game as a harmless Ghostface. I didnt attack, or hook, or even farm. I just crouch spammed and pretended to do gens with the survs. I even brought a cake for #########'s sake. There was a Dwight, a Meg, a Feng, and a Nancy. The Meg and the Feng DC'd. WHY WOULD YOU DC AGAINST A HARMLESS KILLER??? I'm basically giving them a free win and free bloodpoints. Why would you dc against that? The Dwight and the Nancy were really nice guys tho, and they played along and got a free win.

DC'ing has gotten so damn bad that people dc against friendly killers who give them a free win, and double their bloodpoints. Wow

I would do that but I like to try and help as much as I can but if I see the killer tunneling just to get the mori I will DC right before he gets the chance to use it. I will make sure I am far enough away and before he gets me down just D/C giving my team the best chance. I mean even if I D/C I was gonna get mori anyway so Me D/Cing is not hurting anything but the killer who tunneled me.

If the killer on the other hand hooks me and let's say hooks like 1 or 2 others before finding me again and THEN moris me then by all means sure kill me. =) I just do not want to reward a killer who camps and tunnels just to get to use the mori.

    wow just wow

I said this in another thread but it got deleted but when we finally have bots will it still matter? the dc penalty only hurt killers who in really bad games survivor can just by pass the whole dc penalty by killing them self on first hook so dc penalty didn't stop anyone but killers.with hackers messing up the dc penalty for other i say bots are the best way to go.

The problem is you don't know if the Killer is going to Mori you; you are making assumptions. I often have a Mori but that doesn't mean I use it. I get more points out of hooking you. You are not doing your team ANY favors by doing a D/C. You fight to the end; that is good sportsmanship. Upending the virtual table because you don't like how things are going is the action of a petulant child.

For what its worth, I have been playing with two different friends and there have been tons of DCs between us that are due to something with the servers. It's frustrating for us as well.

I know they have a mori if they mori a fellow player before me. I do not DC right away and only when I am sure they have a mori. I mean I know killers could use the less and very unused offering that splits up the team but 8 out of 10 if the offering does not show it is a Mori of some sort. I only leave after I see a fellow teammate go down and get mori after being tunneled. Then I know for sure and still try my best but will not reward a killer who tunnels just to get the mori. Also I am a child *runs of crying* lol

The fact is you are doing a D/C. You are cheating that Killer and potentially your team mates. It is immature and shows YOU in a bad light, not the Killer. Grow up and play the game. Literally, right now, you are admitting to D/C (which is something that is report worthy) on a regular basis. It is unacceptable behavior.
